That is a very clever solution to 4WD - I guess that as a result of that setup, you also usefully get a 4WD system that provides lots of torque to the front wheels at slow speeds but progressively less at higher speeds - due to the differences between engine speed, wheel speed, and NOT having a gearbox at the front to multiply it like the back wheels?

Clever stuff, well done Ferrari.
Given that the front wheels don't have a gearbox (torque multiplier) isn't it the other way around? Or am i having a bit of a mental moment.
No I think hes right, but it must only be 4wd at low-ish wheel speeds, unless there is some sort or variable hydraulic coupling, but surely that would induce greater drag than a normal 4wd system?

Sounds like a good idea, I'd be amazed if it was actually any good tho.

I've never really been a fan of the shooting brake cars, but the concept is interesting.
I'm looking forward to the S version. wink

Small note, I believe the famous "Breadvan" used a 250 GT SWB as its donor vehicle, not a GTO as stated in the article.
That would seem right, as it was built because Enzo wouldn't sell its owner a GTO to race at Le Mans, so he commissioned the 'breadvan' instead.

I do love this car, in every way.

Am I the only one who sees this shot as an FF sitting in a half-pipe?

It is, isn't it?. confused

Enzo would be turning in his grave. Anyone who claims to like this vehicle should be ashamed! How far the apple has fallen from the tree! Is this the same company who gave us the F40??!!

I can only imagine this in autotrader in 15 years time. Maybe it will grow on me. The other pre-launch photo's made decent viewing, but not so sure about this.

No, I don't think so... although it does look it...

Start at the left and concentrate on the marble not the lights and you can see it is a flat floor.... I think.........
All I see is a very fat car parked on a flexible plastic floor stretched down with the Fugly Ferrari's weight.

Hate it!

That back end is just awful.
This is fine.

They just really fked up the bootlid. There's no reason for the bootlid to look so awful.

I remember when Peugeot released the 406 Coupé thinking "wow, that looks like a Ferrari!".

I didn't expect to see a new Ferrari and think "hmm, that looks like a Peugeot".
