4000 mile old air filter...

I did mine last week, a4tdi 2.0 BRE.


i changed it 12 nonths earlier it had done 7000 miles since, and again it was black,
maybe diesel air filters do go blacker quicker?

at first i put it down the tram extension thats being biuilt locally.

I have a friend who works for a very large German car group and her job is to go round dealers unannounced to check stock and workshops to see wether service items are being fitted rather than tucked in the bottom of technicians tool cabs , certain service items can be a pita so not surprising that the booked out filter either gets ignored or put back into stock to sell again .

If technicians are on a bonus scheme then the faster they work the more they earn I can see lots of pollen and air filters getting ignored if they are a fiddly job like the bm one .
