He's right you know. With one day and one snapper the details are hard to get. More time is spent on some cars, while others are quick and dirty.

We realise how small the ed team is when we see other mags with teams of 10 or more at a show, while we have 3......
Personally I think you need a northern test team, send some cars my way and I'll see what I can do. They should be tested on our crap roads in our crap weather and to see how secure it is and vandalism proof it is on our streets. hehe

Come on PH, most of the photo's from this show have been pretty poor IMO. Where's the detail shots, the profile/back/front etc etc. It'd be nice to hear and see the other cars on the stand too, particularly these RUF cars.
I agree thumbup

I mentioned the photo's in another thread. I understand you may be pressed for time as it's a big show but can you please try to ensure that we can actually see the whole car, even if it's only one pic. On the other thread which had about 8 pics of what I can only assume was a car, only one pic was far enough back that we could actually see it. I'm not really interested in an up close shot of the wing mirror\headlight\door handle.

As for the RUF, very tasty but they do seem to have gone very quiet lately. Perhaps they prefer the softly, softly word of mouth approach rather than the more outlandish\outspoken tuners who turn up everywhere with their be-spoilered 2000bhp monsters.

It's just a thought but surely there are lots of people who would love to be part of the PH team and come along with a camera. I know i would.

Have those rear lights been changed? They look so tacky.

So they've taken a 911, lightened the front (with a CF bonnet and bumper) and added weight to the rear (with that wing)... because it had too much weight over the front wheels originally, obviously. hehe

'Spartanic'...love the sound of it - they need to copyright this term. Sounds like 'extreme less' is now actually 'extreme more' and you can bet it costs a lot.

Just waiting for 'spartanic' base models from the main car manufacturers (no carpets or radio but hey...the weight savings push it down to the lowest CO2 so no road tax but pay more on the list price and be grateful), also bicycles, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners etc...

Technically it isn't a Porsche, it's a RUF.

I have always said one of the first things i'd do after a big lotto win would be to jump on a plane to meet Mr. Ruf, and write him a BIG fat cheque. Something unique, it's all in my head ready to reel off to him!

Absolutely. This car seem devoid of the usual bling and hype which comes as standard with most supercars these days.

Silly me, of course it is, those lines and look are unmistakable RUF.

There's no way you would see any Porsche DNA there.

Aren't they technically a new car due to the amount of re-engineering they are put through by RUF and only keep the front end to avoid the costly tuv crash test procedures?? read

now that's more like it, although I take the point's mentioned above. I like Pistonhead's as it's a one stop shop though most of the time. smile

ETA the petulant reply of look elsewhere is sadly oft repeated these days.
