Moving gently back towards the topic, after matt black in 2009, candy white in 2010, is red the new, errr, red?

A poorly specced RS3 would be a liability when it came to resale. There are a few essential options that would push the price to £42K as a minimum, and for a desirable spec, I think you're looking at £45K
RS4's without the tech pack do not sell well.

Whereas RS4's with Ceramics sell very quickly, provided of course they also have the tech pack.
Add the price of those two options to the new price of a new RS4 and see the difference between the two secondhand!
The lower spec car will have lost less!

I take it you've not looked at the price list because even adding the Bucket seats at £2045.00 it would be very hard to get the Car upto £45K unless you went with Audi exclusive (Sat/Nav bluetooth heated nappa leather seats are all standard) Ceramics not an option on the RS3

If that's your perception of things, it's you that feels they need to prove something. You validate my point. Thank you.
I'm entirely at a loss how you come to that conclusion, but if you feel happy and validated by that then that's great for you.
Really, you need it explaining to you? The point being that many people that have been on here a while come up with the bhy posts. I find it kind of pathetic that you visit just to argue, & no point have you even mentioned the RS3 (which this thread is about). A little immature, but, hey, what ever floats your boat.

You seem to be implying that I came into this thread purely to have a go at you personally. I think you may be flattering yourself there. I came in to read about the RS3, which I did. I didn't feel I had anything to contribute over and above what was already being said and I don't see any value in just typing "+1" like some. I don't believe it necessary to write in order to read and can't recall ever writing "hell yeah" in the margin of a book to prove I am reading it.

I'm not sure how an observation that you are quite belligerent (which you continue to be) is being bhy.

Edit: Although, on reflection, "bellicose" would be a more accurate word than "belligerent", although the words are closely related.

If the RS3 sells out then it will have proved that it's not to expensive! But if there are cars lying about unsold like the Focus RS then it was to expensive!

Thinking about the price, its actually about 33/34 grand but the VAT/New Car tax bumps it right up.

It's good to look at it that way. That sort of value is also what will be attributed to it soon after leaving the showroom.

Or like those even more overpriced RS500s which sold out before they even went on sale?

You can't compare a low-production run special to a mass-produced, much larger production run non-special. They're aimed at a totally different buyer- I imagine the majoirty of the RS500s were snapped up by collectors.

Try reading my comments again. I know you struggle with big words. Oh, i notice you drive an Audi, you just proved the stereotype to be correct.

Yet you return just to look & reply to me. bellicose, belligerent, sad, lonely. They all kind of describe you. As for reading a book! Who are you trying to kid? Pop ups don't count.

I've read many things, including the Posting Rules of the Gassing Station. I suggest that you do as well, and perhaps cease directing personal abuse towards me and others in this thread.

Excuse me? Think you'll find i have just repeated your own pathetic rubbish back to you. I suggest you check that back, you're the one that started out with personal insults, not me. Do you troll anywhere else?

It seems some people like to just go on forums to vent their pent up frustration as they fear doing it in real life due to the consequences. They like to assume the tone that a post is made in, when they are in fact wrong, & only see the world through their negative & warped views. These same people also lack humour from what i can see. I write for & post on several other car forums, yet i've never in my life seen the extremes of pettiness that a few people will go to on these pages, just to try & annoy others. If you don't like a post, ignore it & move on, that's the normal attitude of most people.

@ va1o- That wasn't a shot at your good self, just an observation smile
