This will have the ultimate (and final) Metzger engine?

For me, this will be THE 911.

Unless they put the PDK in it.....

As I understand it - having a deposit on one will not guarantee allocation.

As far as I can tell my local OPC has two deposits. But they also had deposits on GT2 RSs that never turned into actual cars.

The thought of a 500bhp GT3 RS is probably going to leave my pants festooned with spunk.

If you read this months EVO then its clear that they are releasing it. Not sure why anyone is still doubting it.
+1 If its in EVO they they obviously know something we don't wink

They recon the price will be about 130k- I'd definitely have one over a GT2 RS!

I'm sure if you roll up to an OPC and say "Here's a cheque for £20k for a 911 GT3 RS LE, I want to be considered for one!". They're not going to turn you away. Whether you get one or not is another matter.

look little rich boys stop squabbling about who's got a deposit down.

Two years ago when i rolled into OPC ( ps thats not the euro version of VXR they do mean porsche centre i believe) with deposit cheque for the new 1.4 litre 16v porsche Baby-Häschen ( work it out its cryptic) they gladly accepted it, i'm pretty sure it will be here soon or my 15 pound deposit cheque won;t be getting honoured.

PS is'nt the 4.0 the current RSR engine anyway and a fair few of those have ended up road legal, i drove behind through adenau last year.

I think this car will decimate GT2 RS values, let alone GT3 RS v2 values.

Most bought the 997.2 GT3 RS believing it would be the ultimate naturally aspirated RS model in the 997 family. Now it isn't.

Many will be annoyed...

But I don't care - just as long as I get to drive one i'll be happy. Methinks this LE is going to be epic.

Porsche GT cars are like a drug - people are hooked and will keep upgrading no matter how annoyed they are.

It will be epic, as the others before it.

And yes, they will be sold out as soon as they release official specs / dates...

Could be epic - it has to be a manual though.

I would think it would depend on the track. GT2RS will be quicker in a straight line, but GT3RSLE will be quicker in the corners and more instant throttle response
Quicker throttle response I can understand, but why would the GT3RSLE be quicker around the corners than the GT2RS?

I would think most o the buyers will be GT3 RS 997 mk 2 owners anyway

It should have more serious aero mods compared to the RS, hence more downforce through the corners giving higher speeds.

Will it have a wider body to fit the name on the back?

If fact this hyper extended silly name proves what a sell out the earlier versions of the car were.
Will be good though, but should not the GT3 RS have been this good originally? afterall I should imagine it was knocked up with current parts fairly quickly as the engineers will be working on future product.
