RE: Pic of The Week: PH Fleet C63 In Reims
Discussion
Feel ashamed to call myself a car/driving enthusiast...I've been through and stopped at Reims no less than about 6 times in the past 5 years...including a tour around Europe in my S4, a random trip to Stelvio from Nurburging in my S4...and even more bizarrely a recent trip to Slovakia in a Passat
Have a feeling I'll be taking my Polo GT there this summer to make up for my stupidity
(don't ask about the randomness of the cars :P )

every year our Euro pilgrimage takes on a visit to Reims you can still do "a lap" of sorts but it is in no way truly authentic as roundabouts / mains roads have aletered it. It is quite a long straight and once sure the Police are not about, you can hit some quite mad speeds along there.... :-) The acoustics defy belief, if you climb up into the old grandstands even a French diesel van doing 60mph sounds quite cool. Bike engined cars doing nearly 140mph are something else!!!!
Search for the village of Gueux in the satnav, there's a straight road between two roundabouts, labelled as the D27 on my TomTom leading out of the village to the north east. The grandstand and pit garages are half way down that road, you can't miss them!
Whilst I'm here, from the latest visit...

Thanks very much! Just had a couple of days by Lake Como including a jaunt over to Lake Lugano in Switzerland. Today drove from Como to Annecy (which incidentally is a lovely town) via the Petit St Bernard Pass. Properly brilliant, roof down. E30 was absolutely spot on.
Dijon tomorrow and Reims the day after. Back to England on Sunday.

You're doing a similar route to the one I did two months ago then. Between Dijon and Reims, head along the old D996 and D396 most of the way, quickest, quietest and most fun route between the two Just had a couple of days by Lake Como including a jaunt over to Lake Lugano in Switzerland. Thanks to those regarding the track location advice. Was fairly easy to find. Drove into Reims and set the sat nav to Gueux. Sat nav took us out of Reims and the pit lane was quite obvious on the N31. Got (quite) a few pics while the gf waited in the car.
