Cars with proper road presence

My friend's Dad has just taken delivery of this. I used to think mine had decent presence but this is one car I'd certainly be moving out of the way for.

This would solve a lot of issues, even if they did move over it wouldn't really matter:



2 big advantages, they are petty nippy to about 30mph, and what with all the recent military cutbacks, examples should be nicely availible at auction houses for knock down prices.... ;-)

I've noticed that nobody every tailgates my SL500 on the motorway - whereas if I drive the OHs C klass coupe I end up with some bell end in a base German two mm off the back bumper. Stuff clears out of my way in lane 3 quite readily too.

I get a lot less tailgaters in my current car. When I was driving a Fiesta people would stick to my bumper like I was doing 5mph, even if I was travelling faster than the other traffic on the road. I think having a loud, low, yellow car with an aggressive, low eyeline at the front helps move people over too, I could encroach at 70mph on a right lane moron doing 50mph when I had the Fiesta, and they would just not move. I think some people have a bit of a chip on their shoulder about being overtaken by smaller cars, even if the smaller car clearly wants to travel faster.
