coupé - French word is the clue.
yes i know that, i just didn't put the accent on the e, as it's not on my keyboard! still don't see how that changes it confused
is the E21 a coupé? is the E9 a coupé?
according to that definition, yes.
Not sure if you are saying the e21 is a coupe, or the E9?

The E9 CSL is a coupé , the 3.0 Si is not.

The E21 did not have a sloping roof (same as 1600-2002 - all 2 door saloons except 3 door Touring & the cabrios)

The E46 is available as a 2 or 4 door saloon + Touring. In the CSL brochure, BMW do not call it a a sports car, not a coupé

The E30 was available in many forms - normal 2 door, 4 door, 5 door & of course the bespoke M3 2 door - in the M3 brochure BMW call it an "outstanding sports saloon".

hehe that definition says if it has 2 doors and a hard roof then it's a coupe, they "usually" have a sloping roof, but not always. so going by that definition, yes, the 2 door E46 is a coupe.

anyway, i couldn't care less it's just names. it still drives and looks the exact same hehe

All true of course but BMW are also probably the best in the motoring world for April Fools though this doesnt really look like one, but has anyone heard anything about this before today, I certainly didnt.
BMW's April fools joke this year was the M3 Royal 'Will' Edition.

Hey that badge would suit me!

I really like the look of this. Does anyone know how long the E90/92/93 M3 will remain in production? Would be a bit worried I'd be buying a run out model, albeit a v nice one.
it will be replaced in about 3-4 years time. the E92 M3 came out at a '57 plate i believe.
The E9X 3 series will be replaced a lot sooner than that though. Prob later this year or early next year.

Too many doors, wrong colour wheels, too many cylinders, too many turbos.
Apart from that it's alright.

Just to clear this up, a new M3 may be along around 2014 (I don't know) but the current M3 certainly won't last that long.

i find it very hard to believe that IF they do actually make a "csl" M3 that it would be saloon. After all, the C in csl actually stands for coupe!
Does the "C" stand for Coupé? I thought it stood for "Club": Club Sport Light (as light weight)
