It appears to be SuperSPORT Van not Supervan, I imagine that is deliberate!

What do you mean? And what are you comparing it too? When full its a dog, but crucially when empty a transit is very nifty in the corners. Brakes designed to stop 3.5t of van only having to stop 1.something tonne and an unloaded rear axle that will slide beautifully with relaxed slow steering making it a doddle to place. In my opinion it handles better than any normal shopping hatchback.

Great van, I've driven loads of these and they just seem to be way ahead of the competition. The Transit is a good steer even though you just know it will fall apart in a few years.

One of my summer temp jobs was delivering paint around Aberdeen in a flatbed Transit. Empty, and on wet roundabouts, it was a lot of fun...

Modern vans can stop and handle very well for their size, i love driving my Transit as much as my ST220.

Surely if someone REALLY wanted one of these, it wouldn't be too difficult to drop the larger engine into the smaller body?
Quite like the idea myself!
I knew a bycicle dealer in Kent who used a Cosworth Sierra engined Transit for his every day bike deliveries. White with big blue Ford Sport stripes and about 280BHP on short van gearing = BIG Fun!

I had a 3.0 litre V6 Granada engined Transit and it showed a clean pair of heals to most cars across Romney Marsh. Great fun

that is wicked, nice one ford but i reckon its a FWD...

best off with an old RWD transit with a cosworth lump, at least you could have some back end action with that! smile

I think this is an upgraded SportVan, not a SuperVan, hence they are calling it SuperSportVan, not SuperVan?

I think Ford seriously underestimate the market for vehicles such as this. At a sensible price of course.
It's called a Mercedes Vito...

No no no, this isn't right at all.

THIS is a Supervan goddamnit!

Best of the three (now four-ish) I reckon, though in part due to favourite-Matchbox-toy emotional bias.
Take your pick....I think SuperVan 2 gets my vote too..

It's all well and good having a sporty van of any sort, but the law only lets you drive to 50mph,on the
open road, I've been warned already in my van.
