A full house 7 litre mid mounted V8 with huge wheels and arches, would make a great publicity vehicle just as the real Supervan did in 1970 then with a powertrain from a GT40.

Here it is

This is a bit of a non-story.

AFAIK the sport trim pack and the 200hp diesel have been available for a while. They certainly were when I ordered my 3.5 tonne Jumbo in November.

It's all well and good having a sporty van of any sort, but the law only lets you drive to 50mph,on the
open road, I've been warned already in my van.
60mph on dual carriageways and 70mph on a motorway.

They forget they can't brake or handle properly.
Modern vans can stop and handle very well for their size, i love driving my Transit as much as my ST220.

Yes, thats what i said. I am aware of the law, i drive a van everyday, and unlike most idiotic van drivers i dont do 70-80mph on a dual carriageway for example.

Mercedes have been selling the Vito in any size you want (ie compact) with a 205bhp engine for years (0-60mph in 8.3sec with 5 speed auto).

So Ford have made a one-off that is as powerful as a normal production Merc, well done.......!

No no no, this isn't right at all.

THIS is a Supervan goddamnit!

Best of the three (now four-ish) I reckon, though in part due to favourite-Matchbox-toy emotional bias.
I had the very same Matchbox model... Ah the good olds days

Probably more to do with the gearing, in fact it will be, as my remapped 85PS is only geared to 106mph, longer gearing it could easily do much more but what is the point.
