I know not with 100% certainty. But I think they will. It's part of their heritage.
I think the 918 could signal the start of a new era. If this is the new halo model it would make sense that all other models in the family follow suit. Maybe initially with modest input from batteries, which will no doubt advance over time. Obviously I don't know but that idea does seem to make sense. Also in the words of the Porsche video a couple of pages back; "This may be the best RS we ever make". Hopefully that is just marketing talk. But what if he know's something we don't. I have to say the more I think about it the more fearful I am this could be a last hurrah. Of course I prey I am totally wrong.

Oh, and it looks like Chris Harris is getting one. I was chatting about PTS on the 4.0 with him on Twitter the other day and he said:

"Well if there are going to be that many PTS cars i guess mine will stand out in white!"

At risk of being PH-lynched...
I don't like that. Looks too chav-bodykitted, and doesn't need to be. 500 horse should be enough that you can leave it looking understated, IMO.

Agreed. That front end is terribly fussy.

But let's face it, no matter what they had done to the front, or the back, or the side - the car was going to sell out.

Of course; and I'm sure it's a very good car, but it's not pretty.

As someone who has never had a good word to say about most 911's I find myself in the very odd situation of wanting this car in a big way. I suppose it’s because it represents the end of an era, i.e. a large capacity NA engine, RWD and a manual gearbox. I even think it looks good (What the hell am I saying????)

I think I need to seek help before I start frequenting the Porsche forum biggrin

Probably because it's not really 'styled' but created by engineers who don't really worry too much about what it look like when you've got to get air in (and out of) radiators and brakes, and try and come up with a bit of extra downforce. The front of the racing RSR looks the same.

In fact, that's why I like it.

I'm all for function over form, but in this case it has made the car ugly and that will inevitably put some people off. I'm sure they'll still sell plenty, though. smile

I assume those little winglet things are to direct air away from the front wheels to reduce drag?
