Some of the clearest pics I've seen so far - what do you guys think? I thinks pretty good - makes more sense as a full model than the large sunroofs of the last 3 generations.

Really look forward to seeing this in real life.

I can't quite make sense of it with the camo on. The roof bar seems to have breaks in it. And it uses the rear bodywork panels from the cab, with the huge lifting section. And the seals around the back glass have a corresponding break in them. So is the roof going to fold/stow somehow?

It has a fully automatic roof. The roof bar will split/raise to allow the roof panel to pass under it. The rear glass will lift like the cab to allow the roof to be stowed under it.

That must be quite something to see in action!

Looks ok to me - very similar to the (horrifically overpriced) aftermarket targa for the 997 cab.

Do like the idea of targa - hard top looks with capability for wind in your hair. Great stuff smile

I actually think this looks better proportioned than the 991 pics. Not a fan.

Very much looking forward to seeing the finished version and think the targa will start selling again. Assuming it is not much heavier.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would I buy this over a cab?

Same as ever, some don't like having a soft top but like being able to open more of the roof than a normal sunroof. The 993 - 997 targa was a nice idea but was really a panoramic roof with a big sunroof.

I like the idea of bringing back the traditional targa style, just wonder how the retro styling will look in real life (though I guess you could say the whole 911 is retro anyway...).

The thing I've never liked about the targa is that it loses the rear window line which is a lovely part of the cars styling.

I really want one but £110k is too much for a normal 911 with a glass roof.

Nope-

Unlike the 996 or 997- this is an entirely different machine.

Not a glass roof.

Google the video
Yep I know I have been in one. I just can't bring my self to pay £110k for a 911 thats not a GT or a Turbo. Its a lovely car and when a used one is £60 yo £70k I will definitely consider buying one.
