I hear you're the founding member! We should get a tie made. Haha.

Thanks for the kind words people. If you see me at a track and you've recently renewed your life insurance come and join me for a passenger lap! That goes for all of you interested in 4.0's!

Sorry for typo. It's been an expensive day and I've had a glass or two. I won't be drunk when you lot come to claim your laps! You might want to be though....haha

Good effort!!

Amazing looking car and having a pair of the things at your disposal will be fabulous. It makes me feel so much better about my own car addiction when I see others like you buying special metal like this to add to your existing fleet.

Are you on the list for a 991 RS?

Rest assured you are not alone......I've not been able to focus today and I've been testing at Knockhill. So I've got it bad too.

Sorry and yes down for the 991 RS but I'm not sure it'll be for me. I just don't get on with paddles for road work. It's too easy to banzai fast. This argument has been done to death though...in short it'll be an awesome car and I don't want to miss out. Can't wait to see it actually!

What do you drive?

So are you.....anyone who buys and loves a 996RS has my respect. I'll never forget last Nov when I took mine out for a greasy road blast, the wet roundabouts were too tempting. I had a white can man egging me on, him fist pumping out the window as I did a couple of laps of honour was a welcome change from the usual reaction!

Yours looks awesome with the blue decal....

Genuinely they don't give out RS badges for free at Stuttgart.....all of them are incredibly special. If that wasn't the case then none of us would see the need for more than one....

Well done on the purchase! A very safe investment and I can't see you losing! I was very tempted by it but then it was too expensive for me. However, good news is that I only yesterday put a deposit down on a LHD 4.0 RS which I located on the continent. Put a deposit on the phone without seeing the car otherwise it would have sold. I've already missed out on 3 previous cars as I was too slow! Will be picking that up at the end of the month... Very very excited. Never driven one before. Will post pics and a report once collected. Nice to see how it will compare to my scud which I'm fortunate to be keeping, both are 4 litres with about the same power... Btw, good idea to put the decals on. U can always take them off if need being.

I am delighted my 4.0 is going to such a good home. It has been a privilege owning it and driving it. I am still keeping the RS faith with my 996 RS, which I collect from Manthey this weekend after some fettling.

Enjoy pistolp!

Cheers

PS. Thanks to JZM for an efficient sales process. Russ and team are doing a super job putting buyers and sellers of these great cars together.

Its a stunning car Stefan! What are you having done to the 996?

I think you'll be blown away by the 4.0, I was and I'm not easily excited....a virtue if being spoilt and also years of trying to talk myself out of buying cars. With the 4.0 I couldn't find any reasons. Except its too fast and too fast expensive.

Trying to keep up at the back here....what are latest sale prices of 4.0RS RHD and LHD? What year did they come out and what was retail new for RHD?

2010 and 140ish new I think.

RHD are 350 and LHD are 250 upwards I'd say.

Congrats pistolp, a truly awesome purchase! Probably my favourite road going 911 that I have seen advertised for sale. Stunning. If I spy you on track in it I shall bow down smile

You should continue the collection. Here's one in a colour you don't have (yet) wink

Cheers
