Which should be a ridiculous thing to say, however I reckon that it will be sold within a week. Assuming that it hasn't gone already. And by definition, that would make you correct...
I saw it at Reading when it was going through pre-delivery. It is a bit of a stunner. Bit of a shame that stefan1 put less than 5k miles on it, but I guess he will now get a couple of hundred thousand reasons to vindicate not really using it much...
My guess is Steve is selling in order to buy a 918. Maybe he'll comment?I saw it at Reading when it was going through pre-delivery. It is a bit of a stunner. One of the best Porsches ever made in the best colour they have ever produced, mexico.
Its cheap....
why is it cheap ? it was £127k + options say 15k worth. new and good value then, at £350k it's not cheap now is it. markets gone mad and if people think it's cheap no wonder prices are going up.Its cheap....
it's ******* expensive imo. but then so are £150k 996 RS's
A CGT is cheap, a 991 GT3 is good value even with the 20k you pay extra for at £130k £350k cheap !!!!!!! NO

Feel free to buy one from somewhere else for less... Oh, you can't.Unless you can get something elsewhere for less it is as a point of definition the market price. Much of the value stems from the simple fact that they made a pretty tiny number of RHD cars. The UK supposedly got 26 (I've seen 28 and 29 quoted too) of the 40 or so believed to exist (compare to the 996RS - 113 of 140. If anyone has an accurate number for the global RHD total feel free to post here - I've never seen anything official on that). DVLA says that there are only 26 left in the UK today including LHD imports (of which there are a few now that I am aware of personally - a number of cars have been exported East. At its peak in 2012 the DVLA says that there were 33 {combined LHD and RHD} registered on the UK roads). Not the level of rarity of the RHD 993 GT2, but similarly unobtainable unless people start selling.
The nature of the beast is such that it is extremely unlikely that 2 RHD 4 litres will ever be placed on the market at the same time. So either it will sell at the £350k and that is the price or it will not and the owner will decide on whether to set a precedent by letting it go for less.
It is a ridiculous amount of money, but they have gone for over £300k before so it isn't as if it was ever going to be offered for less.

I personally think it will sell very quickly.. IE within the week.. The reason being it is the only one for sale in the country, It also happens to be in one of the best colour's.. Someone somewhere (very rich) is gonna say *uck it.. its a lot more than I wanted to pay but it could be 12 months until another possibly less desirable, possibly higher mileage one comes along, They will then remove their Amex gold card from their wallet and make the call to JZM and put me out of my misery, and stop me buying random lottery tickets.. until the next one comes onto the market.

How do they manage to sell it with "Transferable Warranty"?SOR?

that does not make one at £350k cheap though, (that just makes it market value) cheap is buying one less than the retail price not 170% above retail.
Porsche are killing the enthusiast market with such low numbers of all the best cars they make, the man in the street cannot afford to by them 2nd hand now.
I have seen 3 or 4 of these cars none with more than 1k miles on them.
It's all well and good holding value, but to say cheap is just daft, that's a 5 bed double garage house where I live, and house's are said to be well over priced.
Low interest rates and foreign money are killing car prices for normal people.
Even my basic cars are going up, but GT3 prices are now stupid, to think 911V turned down my GT3 at 36k and now they are 50k+ is crazy. only plus point is it's dragging up Spyder prices but now you get scared to use the dam thing or scared to sell it as miles are key to value.
I wanted to keep the GT3 just because of rising prices, but if you are not using them it just seems pointless and now every thing is an investment.
Sold my CSL, Sold the Noble sold the GT3, all three of those cars are making more money then I earn at work PA ....
I would love a new car to try but as the Spyder has been going up all be it at a much slower rate, I have kept it, but it's no where back to retail new price.
Even the 991 GT3 is in a stupid place 20k above list for a spec you don't want.

Cheap is buying one at a price less than the market will bear, i.e. less than it is worth. This is not the same as less than the last guy paid - if you could buy a Ferrari 250 GTO for $5m today it would still be the car bargain of the decade. If something sells at asking in a short period of time then there is a reasonable case to argue that it could have commanded more if on the market longer and advertised more widely. For people to call it cheap is making the supposition that it will sell within a couple of weeks on the basis that if resold next Spring at the height of the car buying season a significant profit may be available.Frankly it is no more absurd than the price of flats in central London.

Your point is not invalid, though it isn't as if any Porsche is a car for the proverbial man on the street. The thing that annoys my is that they have taken to doing the Ferrari thing in that the allocation of cars for the rare models such as RSs is actually already sold before they are announced. By definition every customer that is getting a car is a speculator - they are declaring an intent to purchase something when they don't know what it is, when it will arrive, if it will even be launched nor how much it will cost.I have seen 3 or 4 of these cars none with more than 1k miles on them.

This may be true, but despite being priced at that they aren't flying out of the showroom. There are now 5 available in the OPC network (2 of which even have the right seats and one is actually a spec that you might want), but the most recently listed one is £10k lower... The market will decide. The eye openers are the £100k Gen 1 RS and the £90k Gen 2 comfort for me though. Those are £20k year on year price increases (much the same as the 3.8 RS).
The £95k 3.8 Clubsport also sold pretty quickly, implying that it would have been close to asking price.

I saw the Mexico Blue one today. Stunning piece of kit in immaculate order. I wouldn't have painted the carbon fibre wing but that's just me. Doesn't make it any less of a fantastic car. Wherever it ends up, it's unlikely to see a lot of use I would suspect, but who knows? Mexico Blue is a great colour for an RS.

Am genuinely surprised no one else with a standard colour RHD 4.0 hasn't already snapped this up and offered up the white/black on for sale in return for more or less the same price which I have reliably been told has been offered. I certainly would in a heartbeat!
+1That's what I've also been saying in a few discussions.

It has crossed my mind, but I love mine. Its black and a poverty spec one by comparison, but I'm still attached to it. Also, this blue one hasn't shot out the door so I don't want to end up with two!
I think I could get 350 for mine quite easily, but I also think mad market could end at anytime too.
