I've found a 996 C4S that is exactly what I've been looking for and would want a pre inspection carried out. It's up North though so Peter Morgan is out.

Their is a reputable Porsche Indy nearby who could do it, but they also happen to be the regular servicing dealer, and on top of that also have it on their website for sale on behalf of the owner (private sale)

Question is, would you want a different garage to do a PPI, bearing in mind I believe they are a trusted indy on these and other forums?

I would want it to be totally independant.

Is it in newcastle by any chance? I could recommend a good alternative independant specialist if it is.

If it is in Scotland (Central belt) then would recommend Motortune (between Glasgow/Edinburgh) or SP Autobahn in Stirling

Used. Revolution for my last service despite being 100 miles away from them - seemed really good. If they've serviced the car they should already know if anything needs doing in the near future - on mine they mentioned gear selector cables might be fraying as gear change is stiffer than they expected with indication of cost but no pressure to investigate further, I didn't bother as seems to only be an issue when car is cold/ hasn't been driven much and improves once the car has warmed up.

They seem to be proud of their reputation they have built up and have only just started selling cars on behalf of customers so I'd give Russ a call and see what he can tell you about the car.
