Hi,

Looking into buying this Porsche, has had a engine rebuild due to bore scoring at 30k miles.

What do I need to look out for.....

What do you make of the price?

Thanks.

who did the rebuild, is the work warranted and what was included. If done well then thats one thing less to worry about smile

Do you know who? Do you know exactly what they did? Were there any upgrades to stop it happening again? Is there a warranty on the work?

Being a 3.8 Tip means bore scoring is a possibility. Make sure you get the car checked otherwise and don't get too focussed on the engine and miss things.

+1

Reputable indy? They may be excellent but I have never heard of them so would not give me any comfort unless I got a full report and invoice for what they did

Cath Burrows knows these cars well and has a good rep.

She used to work for a certain Barry Hart.....

BUT, there are rebuilds and there are rebuilds. It depends what the owner asked her to do.

Getting it running again at the cheapest cost and future proofing with redesigned parts are two VERY different prospects.

You need to find out.
