Most tuning companies make gains where the manufacturer has made compromises.

I think Porsche themselves are still trying to understand what compromises they have made with the new engine.

If someone comes up with a Mezger Engine conversion and a manual gearbox, that could prove to be very popular.laugh

Phil (who owns the blue car in your picture) has blue CL wheel nuts all round - I think that he just had a new set anodised, but I am not positive. The red is an option off of the Porsche tequipment parts list on the 997, but no idea if there is a 991 equivalent (the nut IS different to the 997).

Having different coloured CL nuts on opposite sides is standard on the racing cars and also the Carrera GT (the reason being that it has wheel hubs and nuts from the racing car). The system used on all of the other road cars is completely different. The reason is because on the racing cars, the threads on the nuts are clockwise on one side and anti-clockwise on the other and thus are colour coded so that you know on which side of the car to use which nut (IIRC it is red on the left and blue on the right). On the road car all of the threads go the same way, thus it doesn't matter and they are not colour coded.

If you wanted to also replace your wheels, you could always have race hubs fitted, but otherwise you are just talking about a pretty nonsense cosmetic alteration - but whatever floats your boat I guess.

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/RS40DPS.html?... RS 4.0 dive planes. They are attached with VHB adhesive so out to be installable on anything.

Serious question.

Whats wrong with the standard car? Which elements of it are not good enough and why?

No jokes about engines please! biggrin

Warranty not effected on rear wings or center locks, also louder exhaust can be achieved by changing 3rd muffler also without losing warranty
