I bought the black GT3 comfort from JZM at £52900 asking price. No reduction even for cash. In excellent condition every bill and mot from new. All original panels etc. I was disappointed that I couldn't negotiate a lower price, but the way prices are going a fair deal after all. Very happy with the car and JZM service

I was offered (cursory glance of my car) £38k for my 996.2, 50k miles, black/black comfort with buckets, PCCBs and CS rear cage by JZM with a view to putting it on for £43k a month ago. I think I could get £10k more now ?? but I'd only sell to get an RS.
Even a month ago I would consider that to be a very low bid.

I spoke to 911V around the same time about my car which is identical to yours minus the PCCB's (same spec and mileage) and they said they would be looking to get £50-52 for it.
Very interesting. Even at £50/60/70k I wouldn't sell anyway as paying 95-100k for the next RS model doesn't make sense from a performance increase perspective. What else is as good for the money (or even comes close to a GT3?)

Does yours also have the CS rear cage - I don't know of any other comforts that do.

Not sure if that was Tom, Dan or the big man himself ? I feel Tom's (hi Tom thumbup) rather pessimistic with what he thinks attainable for good 996 GT3's pricewise Do your homework and make a decent case to him, and he'll probably return you more in the event you put a car with him on SOR smile

That tends to be the issue
Given the different experience of the 997.1 GT3, for some it is attractive....for others it is not
After that the relative jumps are too high

JZM don't/wont sell substandard cars and wreck their reputation unlike other so called 'specialists'

Ive bought from JZM and would again not so others so you have bought a genuine car.

PM me for details as who to avoid in particular Essex based Aircooled 'specialist'

No, a Tequipment cage. There are a couple of comfort cars around that have been modified to take the CS cage (plates fitted to floor, etc). Are you saying that your CS cage is a factory fitted cage? Or like the other ones that are around, has it been added later?

If I could get £70k for mine today I'd step into a 997.2 GT3 CS tomorrow. Without a shadow of a doubt. I love my 996 but can appreciate (and would love to try) the 997.2

I see, I've not seen any yet. I had Fearnsport fit my Club sport cage after I bought the car.

I've been having a brief crisis of conscious over whether my GT3 should stay or go. It's currently at the local OPC having the lower arm bushes and a couple of front brake pipes replaced. Not cheap and I was beginning to question the viability of keeping the car. I search PH's classifieds and note no 996 GT3's for sale for the first time since owning one. Then I arrived here. Thank you PH'ers not just for reminding me that there's value in maintaining the car properly but for the reasons why I bought it in the first place.

996.2 GT3 CS purchased from OPC Byfleet in January 2010 with 22,000 miles. OPC maintained in Aberdeen since then and currently sat at 37,000 miles and still my 'daily drive'. Turns out it must be Clark I am occasionally mistaken for! redface

Took mine out for the first time in a few months, I'd forgotten quite how much fun it was

Got filthy on the winter roads but was worth it

Haha! I wondered if you still had yours when I bought mine in December 2012 as I remember seeing your posts when you'd bought it (think it may have been on one of the Aberdeen Scooby forums or something that you posted pictures?)

I then saw you in it on the Bucksburn to Kingswells road one rainy morning not long after, pretty much sums up Aberdeen that two pretty rare cars in a rare spec and colour are living close to one another biggrin

Mine has a Manthey rear wing on it now so hopefully people will be able to tell us apart a bit better smile

Same here! I'm not someone who earns a lot of money, so financed my GT3, good job I did, as I would've missed the boat if I'd tried have saved for it. So now I find I have this asset, that I could do so much more with. I didn't mind so much when Mannigs were insuring me to do trips to the Ring & Spa, now there's a hefty excess for each day, so the trips will become less. Now I find I have this car that could be a decent deposit on a Buy to Let, ( I don't have a decent pension).
Anyway spoke to JZM today, basically they don't have room till at least March, which suits me, at which time so JZM say things go a little mental in the GT3 stakes, which is all good for me.
