It's all over the place. Dick Lovett offered me a C00 German delivered Signal Green Mk1 (one of one) for £95k a few weeks back.

Beautiful car. I was sorely tempted.

It then ended up with Thomas Schmitz who sold it in a week for €140k.

Meanwhile, a clean Japan import CS with JZM seal of approval makes £52k at auction (plus comm?).

Which, as Steve alludes to, is ridiculous when you've seen the condition of the Japanese cars. But that's the way it is - I sold a German import 964 last year that had suffered in the UK since 2000 and the German buyer said he wouldn't even have considered the car had it been a Japanese import. Fortunately my GT3 is a German market car originally so I expect it sits somewhere between the 2 values.
I noticed it when looking at Corvettes - a Euro car was always more expensive regardless of mileage. A German car, especially if you have kept a copy of the Fahrzeugbrif and earlier TuVs inherently carries more value as re-registering it in Germany is a lot easier for the buyer.

Hey Luke, did you sell the red beauty?

Interesting thing to note - a German car will always be worth more than a Jap import in Europe for the same condition and mileage.

I was under the impression that it generally isn't possible to verify the service history and provenance of cars from Japan, ergo they are effectively priced as a car without a service history? Meanwhile, the people prepared to pay the most are the Germans and cars with a full German history and provenance are both easier to register and more desirable to that market. I can't claim to know what the spec differences between German and Japanese cars are though?

Some cars have verifiable service history and some don't. Some have made up service history. Just like anywhere else. If you're buying through the right people you will know which is which though.

Which for years has allowed people who actually want to drive their cars (rather then worry about what their worth) to buy better cars for less money....

Equally interesting to note in Japan a German spec import is worth less than a Japan spec, so if you are really on the ball you can buy a German spec in Japan and bring it to Europe winning both sides of the buying/ selling process....

I sold my 6.2 GT3 to we buy any car 2 weeks ago for a very good price. (This week there offer was considerably lower). My car is going through Blackbushe auction tomorrow if anybody is looking for a really nice one. It's Atlas grey comfort model with black leather. I bought this car from JZM in 2014 but owing to a back injury only drove it 1500 miles. Last inspection/service at JZM was about 400 miles ago and was given a clean bill of health. Auction AA report that you can download is terrible. It states that the diff is noisy, and it has a misfire and a rattle at idle!!! I can confirm if anybody is looking this car is lovely. I would have it back if I could drive it without any back pain. This was the only reason for selling (and the high offer).

Is that a wind up CBGT3 ??? I thought 'We Buy any Car' only gave peanuts for 'real' cars. Can I ask how much they gave you? Surely you could have sold it privately or to JZM/Paragon/SCoM or other recommended garages.

Was yours the one discussed a few months ago that was for sale with only two pictures and no real write up? I think at the time the owner said they were going to put something better/more professional together for a £60-70,000 car.

No pip. It's not a wind up. They gave me within 2k of what JZM have one for sale at.This week the offer was some 28k less when I punched it in out of curiosity.
I thought it too good to be true and expected to be knocked down by a lot. But they knocked 250 quid off for some stone chips.
It wasn't my car advertised a few months ago. I haven't advertised it anywhere for sale and it was a bit spur of the moment when they offered what they did.
You can view my car on BCA car auction Blackbushe sale list for tomorrow's sale if you register and view sale lots.
I did email Russ at JZM as I purchased the car from him but they are fully stocked and didn't want another one.

IF those numbers are right, then WBAC are about to take a huge bath!

I can assure you the numbers are right. I thought I was a mistake the sum they offered so I cleared the computer and started again and the figure was the same so I booked an appointment straight away.
I have heard all the stories about WBAC so went with my eyes wide open and was completely surprised by the experience.
As I said this week I punched into WBAC again out of curiosity and the offer was 28k less than they gave me 2 weeks ago.
I would have thought they will make a sizeable loss on my car.

997 and 996 GT3s are crashing massively in scandinavia and Europe, just so many for sale and not enough asses for all the seats.

perhaps the UK is similar, but thats the status on the continent. same goes for GT2s, loads for sale and very few selling.
