Not going abroad. Coming to the Cotswolds with me! Lots of interest I'm told so really pleased to have secured it. Seller seems like a really genuine guy. Looking forward to using it as intended and not worried at all about future value. Will do my best to update but history of being a long time lurker and seldom poster. Must do better!

Nice one crisp packet.
As long as it's straight and drives right you cannot go far wrong with that. Enjoy it! thumbup

Fair play. I'll be interested to know how you get on with it.

Cat D can be thrown straight back in the road. Cat C has to have an inspection first.
Not true, both cat C and D have been written off as a total loss by the insurer.

Cat C: REPAIRABLE total loss vehicles where repair costs including VAT exceed the vehicle’s pre-accident value (PAV). (Source: https://www.abi.org.uk/~/media/Files/Documents/Pub... )

So in the case of a GT3 these days, we are talking about £lots of repairs here...

well done that man - just imagine, you'll have a car to nail on track days pretty much as quick as anything else and you won't be terrified about rubbing it down the Aramco (unlike all the other GT3 drivers). also Zanzibar mk1 GT3's are super cool imho.

did a similar thing 5 years ago, going halves with a colleague on a cat D repaired mk2 club sport 996 gt3. bloody bargain that car was, should never have sold it. (the next owner binned it at Spa, oh dear)

Cat C and D are both total loss as far as insurance goes but as I said, a Cat D goes straight back on the road with no questions asked. A Cat C car has to have an inspection first.

Even as a Cat C, provided that everything is straight I think that the new owner has secured something of a bargain there - even with the aftermarket seats. Well done.

Also now has permanent all-wheel drive and no mention of CAT status. Smells fishy...

Well done to the lucky guy that got his hands on this beauty..Surely this is the way to enjoy a GT3.. Getting it for a song.. No worries using it on track.. Very desirable colour and also a MK1.. And equally important a long list of other potential buyers (no cat c/d stigma amongst enthusiasts).. Surely this is the lowest risk, least expensive way into a GT3 with all the fun and a guarantee of your money back (bare minimum)if you have to sell, Win win surely?

Theres something wrong here. Thats not a new advert. The seller has changed the original.

Crisp packet - you need to come clean or tread with care!

"Please Contact Me Outside The PistonHeads System" Scam

This scam will have an advert that asks you to contact the seller "outside the PistonHeads System" or they claim to be unable to receive e-mails through PistonHeads. They will also commonly have text in the images claiming the same thing. This is a scam.
