It has got a front splitter, it's painted red.
Now has GT3 centre caps, new discs/pads all round and a geo.
What a car! I enjoyed my old 993C2S but that's as far as it went, enjoyment. This is incomparable and totally mental. The level of grip is astonishing, the noise is addictive. I'm nowhere near its performance envelope on the road as it needs respect but even so it is so incredibly rewarding.
I recall seeing a red one tested on TG, it must have stuck in my subconscious...
Id buy another with huge mileage if i could find one and use it every day and keep mine for fun!!

So it is! Just can't see it at all on that first pic. Ade, ripped my tiny OEM one off in Wales in July. Put a new Cup one on and ripped it off pulling into my drive.. gggrrrnnnnn
I don't know why you guys are losing so many splitters.
Over a history of 4x 996 GT3 and RS cars I have only 'lost' a splitter on the road twice (once running over a dead fox on the M40 with no time to swerve, and once grounding the front in a dip). Each time the splitter managed to stay with the car until I could stop, collect, and reuse it in the future.
Two of the cars have been seriously lowered.
May be its in my driving discipline..I live in London (suburbia) and am constantly scanning the road ahead, the entrance to places I go, the exits before making the entrance, etc.
...or maybe I drive like a sissy on the road

Hi Peter, Hope you are enjoying
Peter
As you know, a simply stunning car.
The GTS is very capable. And fast! But little excited like the feral nature of a GT3 being pushed to its limits.
Hope you had a good time at Silverstone Classic.
Jack

Those wheels (Allegeritas?) look amazing on the GT3. That GT3 looks familiar
Does anyone put 18' wheels on 997s? I had the impression that the cup cars run 18s so I thought perhaps some trackday folk might do the same.
