Found a GT2 (2004) model year online at OPC in S. Africa, take a close look at the splitter? What's the verdict on it, wrong one fitted or a updated piece? Is it the turbo splitter that is part of the aero kit that has been fitted?

Looks a very nice example, in a great colour with the benefit of the carbon trim.

oh well, you won't be buying it then Mr Fussy.

Next ........

oh, how about the tyre pressures? Ring them, ask about that, maybe another another wise reason not to buy.

Hadn't realised they were interchangeable?

I'd prefer a front splitter which was a little less low than standard.

The standard GT2 one is a little flexible, so more resilient.

They're not, this is some pointless piece of tat that will splinter into a grillion pieces the first time the car is driven properly over some give and take roads.

It's just a little annoying to hear my brand new one touching down so often. It is flexible as you say though and it's just the underside that gets a little rough.

Midnight Blue is a great colour. Please accept my sincere apologies for the unintentional slight.

Have to say I think the GT2 makes Arctic Silver look fantastic - and that doesn't happen to often! Really accentuates the curves smile

Guards my favorite, (and practical too ! !) but oh so rare.

I think this front splitter may have more than a couple of scuffs ...... biggrin

Its £71,000 asking though. Then add shipping, duty and vat and it will stand you at around £96,000 which is a lot of money for a 10yr old car IMHO of course.

Yes it has only done 25,000 miles but it is not a C16 UK car come resale time.

Probably less hassle than finding a decent 996 GT2 these days hehe

They look great in Guards Red, I regret not buying the 997 GR GT2 from Bristol 6 months before I bought my boring old black one frown

£96k sounds about right, for a very rare 04 model guards red GT2 with the carbon from the limited previous examples that have sold privately off the books. Might be slight premium but OPC selling adds some value although they would have to do a private warranty as isn't it too old for the approved Porsche warranty?

Don't be an assh0le. The OP asked about the splitter.

It looks like the Turbo/C4S aerokit front lip.
Looks very odd, but perhaps just because we're not used to it.

Agreed.

Although KAL is Mr Fussy about his GT2, just ask him about the green label from the engine hehesmile

Did someone say Guards Rail? smile

Bad news about the splitter is that it scrapes all the time (unless you install a front-lift as I did eventually).
The good news is, it's made of rubber thus quite resilient and cheap when it's time to replace it.
