Doesn't look like rubber to me. It's a type of plastic, but thin enough to be flexible.

What's happening at Goodwood? It's the Silverstone classic next weekend.

Move to South Africa and avoid the duty?
Probably less hassle than finding a decent 996 GT2 these days hehe

They look great in Guards Red, I regret not buying the 997 GR GT2 from Bristol 6 months before I bought my boring old black one frown
How much was Bristol retailing that car for out of interest ? I never saw it whilst at OPC for sale but recently had an unsolicited offer I made to owner at well over £100k turned down on it. Fancied something a bit more lively than my turbo as no longer need a daily driver to do the commute in. I did see yours for sale at West London but wanted something other than black.

As an aside I think this red 996 GT2 is worth £96k day night long as a mark 2. Very very rare care.

It's just a little annoying to hear my brand new one touching down so often. It is flexible as you say though and it's just the underside that gets a little rough.
hehe

My wife just asked me if that was a barn find!! biggrin

I'll give you a clue. When I sold it to the good gentlemen at 911V in 2008, Tom said that it was the best 996 interior he'd ever seen (and smelt) condition wise .

Many seem to be garage queens rather than hard used hacks these days. A great shame. I did 20k miles in that car in ALL weathers (as you can see........) That particular photo was taken the day after a late night run from N.Wales to the Midlands and back.
The temperature was -5. Such was the low temperature AND the chill factor from the "elevated" speeds attained, the front face of the mirrors and the periphery of air intakes in the front bumper had sprouted 10mm long icicles.

The GT2 needs plenty of wheel time to learn properly, once learnt, they're a real fun car.
