OK, this is driving me insane... The OPC have had the car in twice and stripped and checked everything, they can't find a fault of any description with the car. At more or less 100mph and above the car emits a strange trombone like noise from the NSF wheel area. If I gently apply brakes or adjust wipers it doesn't make any difference. I can only assume it is aero noise from somewhere, but where and how to find it I am not sure.

See video clip at roughly 2-3 seconds (sound quality is poor overall, but you should just about make it out as I hit 100mph at 2 secs and then it stops as a I decelerate at 3 secs).

Any ideas on what this may be or, on how I can get the OPC to investigate further as they obviously refuse to test the vehicle at that speed on UK roads.

As regards road testing I had to take their tech out in my GT2 once when an issue only identified at speed happened. Maybe that's an option?

Unfortunately they have already said they won't road test the car even with me at the wheel due to the speed at which the problem occurs... Kind of leaves me stuck, but I can't accept there is no fix to this and the car is under warranty.

Is there anywhere at the Porsche centre at Silverstone where it would be possible to reach 100mph with Porsche's consent?

Otherwise, road trip to Germany driving having booked an appointment at the nearest German Porsche dealer with an unrestricted autobahn nearby?

I did think of the PEC and shipping the car to Germany although they are a last resort wink

What a laugh. They make a 170mph car and daren't go in it at a piffling 100mph.

Maybe try another OPC, one where they know a human being won't turn inside out at 100 smile

If it is under warranty, it is their problem. Demand they find a way to test it, simple as that.

I'm getting close to that point and this was a last ditch resort to see if anyone on here could help or had experienced something similar. It wound me up a little as well when the tech said "it's something of nothing" - yeah of course it is...rolleyes
