New BBS E88's on my GT3
Discussion
Steve, I assume you mean the barrel (as it is a two piece wheel). It's very difficult to find LM 'spares'. I understand the LMs are made in Japan as opposed to many other BBS models which are made in Germany. The Japanese apparently only supply full wheels.
I needed a barrel a couple or years ago and in the end was lucky enough to bump into someone in a Nurburgring pit garage with an unwanted spare rim!
I think with 3 piece wheels it is easier to find someone who can make up an outer rim.

Slightly off topic chaps but does anybody know where to get a set of outer rims for the Le Mans wheel? I know that BBS don't offer them but was rather hoping that somebody else did?
Hi Steve,Here's a couple of places to try (no affiliation, just have the sites stored as favourites should I ever need them.)

Good luck !

Have you considered contacting Image Wheels in Birmingham as they manufacture replicas.keep it lit said:
Ok my front are slightly wider 9J x 18" ET46 so my gap isn't so close... interesting on the studs, have considered this a few times myself. Did you make your own studs or buy some?
I used the Tarett Engineering ones (http://www.tarett.com/items/996-997-products/996-997-engine~transmission~brakes~electrical/brake-caliper-stud-kit-bcsk-detail.htm)keep it lit said:

Another Gold BBS fan here....
That looks great JM!Could you have been spotted in this thread? Just remembered it when I seen yours were gold. I had thought they were silver.

Too many cool cars on this thread to mention.
Also worth trying on www.wheel-wes.com loads of people with rare split rim wheels on there.
I love E88's and the idea of anodised barrels as I use to hate trying to keep ontop of the raw polished lip on my LM's, ended up getting the outers chrome powder coated 90% of the looks with no hassle.

Wow, that's low! What's your set up ? You've actually been in the passenger seat for a lap around the ring back in April this year
The car is running Nitron 3-way dampers, top mounts, dual springs at each corner (mains stiffer than oem, but the helpers soften things on the road).
Front camber was around -3 with almost straight toe. Rears slightly less cambered
Since April we had the rear diff rebuilt with motorsport plates and tightened up the geo a little bit more.
Also brakes uprated to GiroDiscs & RS29s
All work carried out by NineExcellence.
...it runs sublime now
No wayward behaviour on the road
Although running low there is no crashing on the suspension or hitting bumps tops
Funnily enough I have not lost the front splitter either ever!
Plus just tried Cup 2 tyres as well following the previous AD08s
...and the handling on track is so very sharp...with the new diff it just grips and rotates and grips and rotates!
To give you a comparison, I was not altogether happy back in April at the Ring. Something about the conditions (lower temps) and the open diff was not working. Lap times were way down compared to my 996 RS.
After your pax lap in April I had the diff done, geo tightened, brakes changed, and the Cup 2 tyres.
At the next trip at DN10 the car, the conditions, and my commitment were some 30 seconds faster BTG! Back to a similar pace as the 996 RS (actually slightly quicker due to a more aggressive setup, more commitment/cheaper car...despite the lack of a great clear lap)
I know sounds crazy...unless you had a big breakfast the first time
