It wouldn't have remained in the classifieds if they were. Been on sale before and no takers.

Give it a few years it will be worth even more. Surprising I agree as no motor sport heritage whatsoever but market is moving toward wanting no electronic aid or simply rare cars. Makes Lancia Intergrales and slightly less so M3 E30s look cheap.

This one dominated for a few years and held lap record at the ring cool

True but dominating world rally championship or touring cars a little bit more special IMO. Similarly the 993 GT2 winning its class and reason why its now mega bucks. 996 and 997 GT2 do not have the same pedigree but fabulous drivers cars. Take your point though and that car looks an absolute beast. smile

The GT2 relates to GT3-RSR. Are we saying that's won no races?!

For me, there is no difference in the motorsport connection between the GT2 and GT3 models. Simply, the GT3 has received more column inches and awards from car mags. It's just that little bit more desirable.

Nevertheless, i'd be doing exactly what this guy is doing and test the market.

Looks remarkable value compared to a £105K plus 993Turbo or a £150K 996RS.

13,500 miles in 12 years, criminal. What a waste of a great car. It epitomises everything that can be wrong with sports cars and their owners. I wouldn't buy something that'd had such little use, bound to be issues with it.

Get your point about not being driven, I feel the same but "bound to have issues" think that's a bit extreme!!

No issues that I'm aware of or any of the dealers that have looked after the car during my ownership or previously.

"It's like a new car" was the quote at the last service!

Always gets driven properly by me, oil and tyres up to temperature then the fun begins, it's an amazing driving experience and those that know me know why it's for sale.

It's a very special car in fantastic condition, and someone will get a great car.

Bad form imo to suggest "bound to have issues". If anyone wants any info on the car then please drop me a PM or call.

It looks beautiful. And it's local in West Sussex.. I've got a 986 if you fancy a change! She's obviously for sale but does she get taken out for any local meets? Would love to see!

Hi.

Yes sometimes pop along to the 911uk meets at the fairmile pub in Surrey and the Mid Sussex OPC events. Was at the breakfast club meet at Goodwood on the grid.

Agreed. And looks even more remarkable value when you consider JZM have a 993 turbo S up for £250k. As a drivers car I think the 6 GT2 pips it and £90k for this mint car seems not unreasonable. I just can't believe people are buying 993 turbos for £100k +. I can understand the 6RS a bit more as its actually a pretty rare car and for those who can peddle very rewarding but £100k for 993 turbos is just plain stupidity - not even that great to drive - designed to be a safe every day hack. Having said that I love 993 turbos but would never pay that sort of money for one. Rather have a fezza 355 or F430 or 550 over a 993 turbo as a weekend car. The turbo S is F12 money - just crazy.

I agree with this and I don't think people actually are paying £100k for 993 turbos. Two of the three at JZM have been reduced and are taking time to sell. You also see cars in the classifieds at £80k or so that aren't moving either it would seem. They are great cars and I have got one but I would sell it in a heartbeat for £100k! I think the RS is a different story and there's no reason the 996 and 997 won't go the same way as the 964 and 993 given time.

People investing in cars need to keep an eye on economic conditions.
As soon as rates go up the picture will change as people realise these are luxuries not retirement plans.
Given the rises have been so much so fast we are already seeing the smart money taking profits.
Housing is essential collecting cars is not.

Whilst there are those that can afford to hold these cars long term and need no finance there are far more that have borrowed to fund everything.
Dangerous game for some
