Have you got round to fitting the Sharkwerks yet Jack?

Chris
Not yet. Give me a chance! You back from sunning yourself now, I take it? wink

Have seen various opinions about fitting these. Can it be done without removing the bumper on a 997.2 GT3? Looking underneath it seems straightforward enough other than perhaps having space to pull the side silencers apart to release the centre one.

Had a run out in the GTS on Sunday morning and it's stonking! And it currently sounds better than yours LOL!

Yes on the 997.2 GT3 it's fairly straightforward and should take under 2 hours to fit provided your nuts aren't too rusted up (!)

No need to remove the bumper assembly on the GT3 provided a ramp is being used.

Cheers, Chris

Cool. Looking forward to a small project once the weather has warned up :-)

For those of you with 997 GT3's we had this arrive in today from Sharkwerks in California (just 3 days with UPS!) for a customer of ours down in London.

He went with the rear silencer bypass and the sexy looking Sharkwerks RS 88mm black ceramic coated tailpipe kit which is going to sound and look epic!

We are looking to stock these 997 GT3 systems here in the UK soon to join our current stock of 997.2 (C2, C4, GTS, PSE) and 991 GT3 systems.

Out of interest, does anyone know what the DB level is for the Sharkwerkes if you dont have the loud button on in the GT3?

997 or 991 GT3?

I can ask the guys at Sharkwerks if need be. On the 991 GT3 its only marginally louder than the stock system without the valves open - certainly not an issue for most track days. The same can't be said for the Sharkwerks once you open the valves as it sounds glorious and may upset a few noise marshall's!

Is yours a non-PSE car then?

Yes it is. Got the car up on stands last weekend and couldn't believe how worn the nuts and bolts are underneath it. Then realised I didn't have any torx sockets, so they're on the way. I decided to try this system before I opted for a PSE which Leeds Porsche charged me £2200 last time I did it on another car.

I am in the same position with mine, no PSE and considering the Sharkwerks. Would like to have a listen when you get in done, if you don't mind.

Likewise, obviously I started this thread and have held off due to lack of PSE feature in my car...

I have Sport Chrono pack installed, just no PSE. I wasnt aware this button made any difference to the exhaust sound though....How about yours?

Mine is without Sport Chrono so I've just had Sport/sport+ retrofitted so no clock on dash, I was just presuming yours was a fairly base spec like mine and going to recommend the Sport retrofit.

My C2S had no PSE. I'm fairly sure it wasn't an option at the time, as it's an early Gen 2 car. I had it retrofitted in the end.

It's been discussed before, how much did you pay for this if you dont mind me asking and via the OPC?

I paid £2400 inc and that was an OPC.
