Hi all

My PCCB pads are nearing 50% worn and I was wondering what options I have for replacement.

Car is a 997.1 GT3 used for European tours and fast road trips only.

I am currently on holiday at the moment so I may not reply to this thread for a couple of days but I will need to order and get these replaced as soon as I get back.

Thanks in advance for your replies and suggestions.

Pagid p40 is the safe option.

I think I have an original front set lying about with approx 25% wear max, could double check if you're interested.

I use endless, see link below, expensive but cheapest way to buy them is via US. They feel very strong and are generally very civilised but will get a bit squealy if very hot.

Thanks but I am after a new set as I change them at 50% worn to be on the safe side.

Thank you, i'll look into them too, why do you say safe option by the way? Have others been known to fail?

It's what Porsche put on in their own Box, just fitted a full set to mine.
ie the top pad in the picture. see no reason to use anything else, looks like a newer better design than the ones I took out also.
PM me about price.

Hi all,

I need to replace the PCCB pads all round on the 7.2 GT3.

Is the best choice for being kind to the discs (ie pad softness) still OEM Porsche for PCCB?

Are PAGID P40's still the direct non-Porsche branded equivalent?

Or are PAGID's latest offerings (ie RSC1, 2, or 3 for PCCB) worth a try for a mixture of road and track - or will they shag the disc surface more quickly? :-O

Your esteemed thoughts would be most appreciated thumbup

I contacted PAGID recently to ask the same question the reply was "The RSC1 has a better performance i.e. better pad wear and higher friction than P40. Disc wear is the same as P40 but RSC1 might be a bit noisier."
Been trying to find feedback from people who have used the RSC1s but without much success, so will probably take the safe option and stay with the OEM P40 pad.

Thanks for sharing mate - like you, for me disc longevity is the priority so I'm not keen on using anything more aggressive than the OEM Porsche pad (ie P40). thumbup
