Sensibly priced car at 320000 sold in Edinburgh.

Unless there's a story I don't get it. I'm not following, nor that interested in the market, but getting unsolicited offers well in excess of 400 for mine quite regularly now. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2011...
If someone bought that for 320k and there are no skeletons in the glove box, then they have done supremely well.....
Having been in the market very recently and still talking to those who source them, whether people like it or not, the general market for these has moved on beyond that price point for issue free UK or European cars.
The latest one at MCGurks is a beautiful issue free example, almost as nice as mine

We did a rather nice video feature on a PHer's CGT, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKueOLQVSP4
RE: the Edinburgh car; does anyone know if this was originally supplied in Edinburgh?
I recall seeing a silver CGT at the side of the road some years ago - thinking about it it was probably around mid-2005, as I'd recently changed jobs. It had some fairly hefty scratches/dents on the side and a nearside wheel which was missing some chunks of alloy and that was pointing in a distinctly different direction to the offside. I seem to recall it was the rear wheel that was damaged but can't be sure. Behind it sat a Range Rover with a couple of guys in it, obviously keeping an eye on things. I was with my Dad at the time and stopped to have a look and take a few photos with my phone (I was rocking an Orange SPV C500 at the time, which has also helped me date this!), as we'd been to the motor show at the Birmingham NEC the previous year and recognised the CGT from there. There were one or two others doing the same. We went on our way to do what we had to do, then as we passed in the opposite direction on the way back some half an hour or so later it was being loaded into a covered recovery wagon.
It was sitting about here if anyone's interested, probably around the no loading sign somewhere. There used to be a traffic island with lit beacons on it that separated the lanes before the crossroad junction, long since removed, which I suspect is what it came to grief with.
I might even have copies of the photos somewhere in the depths of my old PC - I'll need to dig it out, fire it up and have a look!

Are prices not a valid topic. I'll stop if it offends you..
Thinking of selling your one?
I'm obviously looking to buy. Hence my posts.
Shrug, just an observation, take it however you wish. Car's not for sale. Good luck with your search.I thought this was a discussion forum?
