Absolutely fantastic things! Although having had a good look around the exterior of them can you fill us in a little more about any other details of the car?
I'd be particularly interested to see how much luggage space the they have, would it be possible to go away into Europe for a couple of weeks in one with the wife?!

the passenger foot well and seat is your best option
my suggestion is to pull a bird when you get to your destination rather than taking the mrs

roof panels if the sun is out.there is a section under the panels that would take a small bag and then the suit carrier behind the passenger seat. with the roof panels fitted you could squeeze a slightly larger bag but still for one person only. foot-well is the other option.
no matter what you're traveling light. adds to the fun

Agreed, one of the best things for me about the F1 was how it was designed with runs across Europe in mind with plenty of luggage on board. Don't get me wrong, I think I could quite happily put up wih this minor shortfall but it is a shame it excludes it's use for this purpose. Nice problem to have though OP
I always tell people you can SEE all the luggage space in a GT.. But in fact I've done a couple of trips through France in mine. All my stuff went into a suit carrier behind my seat, my girlfriend at the time split her stuff between another suit carrier and a soft bag in the footwell. There's also a useful bag that fits alongside the passenger seat by the door, probably the only useful bit of 'fitted' luggage since the rest of it is such heavy duty that it no longer fits when you put something in it. The killer is (womens) shoes, they just take up so much room. But it can be done.
I can forgive it the lack of luggage carrying capacity given how it looks, drives and sounds. No it won't fit Mrs B's luggage for a fortnight in the static caravan in Rhyl but for weekend runs to the sun it's perfectly adequate as others have said with a few suit carriers and a soft bag....
Looking forward to using it throughout the winter, but will draw the line at snow and ice. I imagine you would get quite a reaction if you put some studded tyres on it and took it down to the Alps with a pair of skis strapped to the roof.

Not an issue: I'd be particularly interested to see how much luggage space the they have, would it be possible to go away into Europe for a couple of weeks in one with the wife?!

Oh cheers for that, I find these road trips such an inspiration! I also think I may have shared a track with that car some years ago, I recognise the number plate. It certainly had a bit more presence than my car did
It was a great trip.Afraid you haven't shared a track with the car - i bought the plate recently and it wasn't on a CGT prior!

Wow! That sounded a superb trip - bet the combined noise of your cars that preceded your arrival at each stop on your route was something to behold - they knew you had arrived!Afraid you haven't shared a track with the car - i bought the plate recently and it wasn't on a CGT prior!
Have many UK CGT owners gone for the reduced size front number plate like yours? They look so much better but does it get though the MOT with such a plate ( or do you stick full sized one on?) any police interest also? Mine has the full size one on its nose

Mine had a small one like that when I took it to France; first peage, bang, €90 fine.. No issues whatsoever in the UK mind. Now has a full size jobbielabrit said:

No spare or other gubbins in the front, you can get away with a reasonable amount of luggage etc,get a extra suit carrier for the back of the other seat helps. The cgt luggage set works well, need a understanding partner though!Batster said:
Thanks for all the positive comments on the car.
I should mention that I sourced it from McGurks in Warwickshire, who made the whole experience very enjoyable and straightforward. John M is a proper petrol head and knows exactly what to look out for when trying to find the right car, even if it means getting on a plane and flying to Europe or the Middle East. Based on my experiences (buying and selling through them), I would recommend them without hesitation. I know he is actively looking for other CGTs.

When I read the first few posts I wondered if this was the McGurk car. Congratulations and I hope I see you out and about in Warwickshire in it at some point! Congratulations on buying one of the best sports cars ever made. The more you use it, the more you'll be amazed at how wonderful it is. Do get the new Michelin tyres on it because the old ones make the car unnecessarily spiky and are actually plain dangerous when cold.
456MGT and I have a mutual friend who uses his Carrera GT as a DAILY DRIVER (normally when it's not raining) in central London. I didn't think it possible, but this chap uses it like any other car and then hoons it all the way home on his late night commute back...
It just goes to show that the scope of the cars ability is broad enough to make it one of the finest cars ever - it really can do traffic and then be a Le Mans car home. AWESOME.
