Time of year again to look at 996 GT2 values

In 5 years the 6 GT2 may well be a £250k car. Having said that the govt may ban all high performance cars with emissions over a certain level and your Gt2 may become an ornament in your house like a giant vase and who knows may be worth nothing. Don't even bother looking at the GT4. For dd perhaps the solution is to get yourself down to VW and buy a VW Polo 1.2 SE DSG 5 dr. List £16,100 and I managed to deal at £13,750 on a new car a few days ago. 70 Miles to the gallon and you can use the GT2 on high days.
I have a BMW Touring which I'm getting 40plus mpg from, that's economical enough. I wouldn't get the dog in your Polo I know logically I should keep the GT2 and that's what I will probably do.
Spent the afternoon cleaning mine inside and out, leather treatment, hoover, everything, I'll never tire of the looks of this car, and indeed it's looking better today than when I bought it 7 years ago.
Of course the brake drying exercise is always great on a sunny November afternoon
The silver/black PH smiley makes a good replacement for the tax disk.

Not so fast. The CO2 global warming conjecture is still unconfirmed by nature, indeed some would argue that the 18+ years of stability in the face of soaring CO2 levels proves it's plain wrong (although it's settled according to all the 'scientists' with their noses in the trough).Australia, Canada and others are starting to roll back carbon taxes etc and I think it's only a matter of time before a smart UK government grasps the nettle and does the same.
Then there's the fact that many rare 911s apparently end up in Chinese collections and whatever the truth about CO2, the Chinese aren't bothered anyway.
But even to me with probably one of the nicest examples, a £250k target in 5 years sounds fantastical...
Sorry guys I am solely to blame for these cars not been worth more money, the day I sell GT2 prices will rocket in value as have previous cars I have owned and sold.
This side of bankrupcy or divorce I can not see me selling so I am afraid these cars will continue to be worth washers compared to far less worthy motor cars.
My apologies.
