actually like the look of ps cars but my issues are
1 - his branding of them is questionable especially the steering wheel & dials
2 - i am not an air cooled purist in fact know very little about them so they arent 'sacrilidge' to me as they are to others

PS are fairly unlikely to do anything serious with water-cooled cars. He doesn't like them half as much as air-cooled stuff. Nothing unique there.

The PS Touring is a very, very early PS retro-car. I can confirm that the cars are not built or made by Paul Stephens, not even a little bit, but the place which does the work is absolutely top-notch.

The price I guess... is whatever someone's willing to pay.

Yes Clark and Carter are the 'Coachbuilder' and their work generally is very good. Ive used them myself.
The bodywork I wouldn't question if it was done by them. The mechanicals is the part I wouldn't trust. Heard stories of cars breaking down on the way home

That has definitely happened. PS now do a lot more in-house than they ever used to, I haven't had dealings with them in some time, so can't comment on the state of things now but I would certainly say in the past buying a car from them was absolutely no guarantee of its mechanical condition....

Yes looks to be the case which is why the first owners try and sell them back through PS as they reckon he has a better chance of ripping someone's face off than them privately.

Far better proposition, although I've no opinion on the price, would be the black IROC car at JZM.
Having seen this car even prior to its arrival at JZM the 'fit and finish' of said vehicle is exceptional.

I'm not sure the Same was previously said for the PS car.

I dare say they'd be some room on the price of the JZM car unless it's already sold of course.
They do have one of the strongest followings and have overtaken older dealers like PS.
Maybe it's a trust thing

That's a museum piece for someone and it'll be a corker of a car or JZM won't entertain it which is why they have such a great reputation and they won't risk that.

Google a thread titled 'What a dreadful experience' and see what can happen.
You won't find JZM behaving like that
