I had a 1.5" bypass (Gundo hack) on my 2002 C4 and it sounded lovely, but I was very conscious that it was quite a bit louder than stock. I replaced the corroded standard boxes with Dansk sport ones and whilst quieter than with the bypass I actually prefer these.

Booked In for next Friday, gone with Cargraphic 'Sound' option. Back to back video on You Tube sold it + the price is Ok too.

Will obviously post a video link once fitted & an update. Can't wait now I've finally decided!

Just bought a 996 c4s and interested in the same cheapest upgrade to better sound as Lordhavemurci.
Let me know how you get on with the option you selected.

Cargraphic has been on for just over a week, very happy with it. Sounds great when accelerating, as quiet as standard when cruising. Did a 40ml DC run yesterday & didn't notice it at all which was what I wanted.

It is about as loud as I would go, gives the car the voice it should always have had though smile
Will post a vid when I get around to it, before & after. There is one on You Tube that's very good already.

Thats exactly what i am looking for, thanks for confirming.
What was the total cost to supplyb and fit and was any remapping or other adjustment required?

I was quoted £960-£1300, actual cost was about £1150 fitted, no remapping or adjustments. Think if you start changing Cats etc that may change.

it is a bit more expensive but I'm tempted to go for a kline system! it comes with either 100 or 200 cell cats too and it looks like automotive porn to me it'd almost be a shame to put the rear bumper back on

well I did want the kline system but at 1800 quid it was a bit of a way off happening so when these dansk super sport back boxes came up for sale cheap it was rude not to try them

and a quick before and after vid I did which does it no justice but you can clearly hear the sound difference

don't think any youtube clip is going to do any exhaust sound justice! obviously both before and after sound a lot louder in person but what I tried to show is the sound difference

Forget modifying the exhuast - just delete the mufflers altogether....

Love this vid.

Bumping this one again, back looking at Dansk boxes, think this list of product codes/part numbers is correct (and may help someone else). Part numbers taken from here - http://www.autofarm.co.uk/pdf/Dansk_Porsche_2003.p... which may be a little out of date.

These are best guess so correct if I'm wrong; I've been getting quite confused as to what's what.

96.335S = OEM here
96.335SOUND = OEM with valve for Sport here
96.330S = Sport - listed as OE style - assume like the above but without the value (so always a bit louder) here
96.300S(EXP?) - Super Sport (as shown by 996Lee above) here

I'm currently torn between the OEM and the OEM Sport.

I fitted the Sport one to my '98 C2 & it's perfect for me - calm & almost OEM on a motorway cruise but harder edged & more bass when you get up the revs
