PCCB are not good. Basically done after first set of pads. At least that was the case when I had a '07 997 Turbo.

For track steel all day long. Alcons are just fantastic on my GT3.

But JZM sells the CCX kit for just over 5k now! I heard they are very very good...
You are talking about Gen 1 PCCBs - we are on Gen 3 for the 991 GT3 which are allegedly much improved for track use, providing you look after them properly.
Could you clarify what 'properly' is? Cool down laps?

I'm no expert, but I think this is a key part of this.

As far as I'm aware, Cool down laps are grenerally more for parts which are oil cooled (ie engine and transmission, general mechanical parts etc, so as not to stop when hot and cook the oil into the system and to allow cooled oil to decrease temps gradually, which of course, is better for metallic parts)
Ceramic brakes are technically air cooled, so a warm down lap isn't going to do anything other than extend the timeframe in which they're hot , no ?
I'm happy to stand corrected, but would be interested to understand the science
Especially as I have ceramic brakes on my car
