Any highly recommended places to get IMS Upgrade in London?

Hello all, I have recently purchased a carrera 4 and have been enjoying it quite a bit. During the inspection before purchasing the main thing that came up was a small leak at the transmission signifying an RMS or IMS Flange leak (these seals were both replaced about a year ago).

As these seals need to be done again and I am already paying for this labour to drop the transmission is it prudent to just replace the IMS Bearing at the same time? Reading about this topic is seems like the best bet is the Newer LN IMS Bearing Pro which has a 6 yr/75k mile lifetime and to just do this replacement every time I change the clutch.

While researching as to where to get this done all I came across was Revolution Porsche in West Yorkshire who's website says they will do "a Single Row Pro IMS Retrofit, complete with an oil and filter change and replacement of the RMS on a 911 996 C4 Manual – £1110, (or with new clutch – £1349)"

Thats about 4.5 hours from London where I live, Is there a recommended garage in London/surrounding that will do the same sort of job? (hopefully competitively priced )


I would also like to add reading these forums over the last year has given me some great insight and knowledge building up to getting my first porsche and I can't thank the members here enough for all their contribution

Thanks thats an option, they are much closer but their price is £1500+VAT for IMS + Clutch (not sure if they would do the RMS also?), Revolution is £1300+VAT. Their website does say quite a lot about matching prices.

I guess 2 hr drive is better than 4 hr drive Hopefully someone knows a shop slightly closer.

Jaz did mine when I had a new clutch fitted. They have just moved to St Albans but it's really easy to get to via M1 or M25.
