First you "save" 27k! 35k miles is nothing for the Mezger. I got 42k on my gen2 GT3 and I think it's about broken in. smile Then the obvious - car been designed as LHD and is the "better" car.

Heck - I might just go get it!

True it might bug me. Was not referring to that car in particular just LHD in general.

There is definitely a case for LHD.

Interesting thread.... definitely all original panels and no chassis damage at that price. I wouldn't think GT3 patina includes accident damage.

Am I looking too closely, but is the joint line between Right rear bumper and wheel arch / fender a bit "off" compared to the Left?

To the O.P, have you spoken to the vendors of the GT3 at Ron Hodgson?

Now LHD is making a lot of sense and that other white one looks very interesting -but weary of non indy frown .

Will sleep on it and make contact with them both.

Sorry Peter, you mentioned having an issue with low mileage cars having their wheels redone. Assumed redone meant refurbed. And I extrapolated gravel rash from your other list of wants :-) Ignore me now.

Re that second car. It's at an Indy that is next door (but has no affiliation with) Sport and Classic. Both are about a mile from my house. Mike at sports and classic is a GT3 owner (as am I) and is fastidious in his care of his cars and massively knowledgable about GT cars in general. If you needed the car inspected I can't think of anyone better to carry that out. I couldn't recommend him enough, as many others here would too. Might be worth a call.

Don’t want to take this too far off topic (ie Gen 1) but a couple of observations from someone who has just bought a 997GT3.

Previous track use? One of the other posters on this thread bought a Gen 2 996GT3 that I had owned previously. I was second owner and knew that the first owner, who also posts on PH, had tracked the car. I tracked it. Since then I have seen some video of it in the current owner’s hands going well at Oulton Park. And despite all this if you saw the car today I would be very surprised if you didn’t think it a lovely example. After all it’s what they are designed for.

And LHD is certainly worth a shout. Mine is LHD, 1 owner, Riviera, CS,35k km (20k miles) original panel and paint. Some track use of course though fire extinguisher still in its wrapping. Despite looking for some time I didn’t see anything in RHD that was comparable.

How do you find a LHD on UK roads?

There is another low mileage white clubsport for sale which went on today. I don't know either car but it might be worth a look?

Lovely...Needs Black wheels and pccb imo . Stunning condition
Is there such a thing as to few miles? An average of 1,000 miles a year just raises more questions for me.

LHD is pretty easy to adjust to and most of the time makes little difference. Overtaking is the main issue but even there it's no real problem as long as you take extra care. I had a LHD 964RS before and so am perhaps more used to it. Also I do quite a bit of driving in Europe in RHD cars where the same issues are a mirror image.

Small problems like the aspherical door mirror is on the wrong side but I guess that could easily be changed; I haven't bothered yet but might do later. Benefits such as 90l tank.

Daily driver? Perhaps not, but otherwise LHD is no real problem.

No probs at all. I drove the black Gen 2 left hooker which was advertised, albeit briefly, by the Exeter OPC about three weeks ago. In fact, I put a deposit down! The car will be based in France though.

Was that the car I noticed in the classifieds recently at £90K? Look a beauty. Can't be to many around in Riviera.

Yes the colour is not that common. Not sure if it was PTS or special order. UK press car was the same.

Yes it is the RPM car. Very nice guys to deal with and the whole transaction went very smoothly. Just got the V5 through today.

LHD is no problem in the UK; I have currently both LHD and RHD Porsches in Germany and have had both LHD and RHD cars in the UK. It is ridiculous the discrepancy in price between LHD and RHD. For me, I prefer the LHD driving experience. Don't let the position of the steering wheel put you off.
Many HPI clear GT3's are also not what they sold as. Many have panels replaced outside of insurance. Again this is not a major concern so long as a reputable company has done the work.

Before I bought my RS in November I had the OPC 111 point check carried out which it passed with flying colours - not being content with that I then instructed a second Independant inspection by Peter Morgan Consultants - only after these two inspections was I confident that a good car lay beneath its skin. I highly recommend Peter Morgan - an extremely detailed and photographic 20 page report certainly gives you confidence in getting to know a vehicle .

I have a LHD GT3 also. Must say I prefer LHD Porsche in general, 90l tank is great benefit and no problems on the road. Getting parking tickets from machines on the right is a bit of a faff sometimes, but that's about it. Great for Euro hoons also!

Had a look around this today, looks very clean and Orginal car, some minor stone chips on front and the rear wheels have been refurbished. Looks like it's still on the orginal brake discs as minor lipping which to me suggest this car hasn't seen a track or been driven hard. Sales man didn't know what the RR States was but Sports and Classics are next door so Mike could tell you if anyone interested. If your after a CS this would be worth viewing.
