I do like the 991 with Ducktail spoiler but less so on the fixed wing on in which is included with the aerokit. Annoyingly I have seen a car I quite like and has everything else on it that I would like it has this spoiler. Therefore, can it be easily removed or do I need to buy a brand new ducktail and get Porsche to fit it etc?

Many thanks

I totally agree about the ducktail, it looks great on the 991;

That aero kit with the little wing plopped on top looks shocking.

I doubt you can just take it off though, it would leave holes I expect.

That being said a good body shop might be able to do it?

hey mate, there are two OEM kits available from Porsche, the aerokit cup and the standard ducktail kit.

The ducktail one was posted above, below is the aerokit cup version:

I believe (but dont know for sure) that both kits require the addition of the aero on the front of the car otherwise it unbalances the aero design and so it comes with front and rear parts.

Hello,

The car I'm looking at has the full Aerokit on it. I just want to remove the 'little' fixed wing spoiler on top of the ducktail. Everything else will stay the same (ie. keep front aero, etc).
Just wondered if there was an 'easy' (read cheap) way of doing this as Im sure an OPC will charge accordingly.

Thanks

i think its just a bolt-on (the upper aero attached to the ducktail) that can be easily removed, whether you will lose your warranty though, thats something the OPC will need to help confirm.

Just reviving an old thread.

Does anyone know for sure if its possible or will it leave holes in the ducktail?

I think the front slipper will need changing as well.

Just bumping this back up—
Can anyone answer if it’s possible to remove the spoiler / wing sat on top of the ducktail on the 991 aerokit cars as per blue car in above post?

Is it an easy fix? Or two gaping holes left over?
Thanks

I have the same problem and want to remove the top spoiler. Need to go to a good body shop! Keep the spoiler for resale!
Cheers
