996 Turbo Rear Tyre Choice
Discussion
Hi All,
After a thrilling couple of track sessions at yesterday's Silverstone Sunday Service I am in the market for two new rear tyres!
After searching the forum, it seems the general consensus is that the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s (N3) are the ones to go for and that's what I fitted to the front just a couple of months ago (rears are Contis atm).
Has anyone recently purchased these online for a good price?
Another tyre that popped up on a web search is the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup which is also available in 295/30/R18 - Has anyone used these and would I majorly upset the handling mixing very different tyres front/rear.
Cheers
James

Camskill were the cheapest for pirellis when I bought mine a few months back.
Doggydog.
I took some part warn Pirellis off the front as they gave very odd feedback, perhaps I had a duff pair? No PS2s on Camskill at the moment but this is usually my go to place for tyresDoggydog.

Got those PS2s from Tyreleader for under £190 recently, plus £15 local fitting.
Would definitely not mix PS2 front and Cup rear!
Thanks, had a look but they aren't listing the PS2s at the moment, interestingly the Cup Sports can be had as a full set from there for £510, perhaps I could sell my nearly new PS2 frontsWould definitely not mix PS2 front and Cup rear!
Hmmm
