I know this topic has been done to death but anyone care to guess why my car has suddenly decided to add 3 RR2 ignitions to its tally ?

Pretty pissed really as the last registered ones were yonks ago but now it could look to someone that all of them could've been done 2hrs ago.

What a completely idiotic system.

Has it added a higher qty to RR1 also? if not it must be gremlins?

Yes RR1 increased slightly too but while I may of spun it up through the revs accelerating, it surely shouldn't record RR2. ??

That's got to be 1 revolution at 8k revs so a 133 th of a second could happen if gone to RR1 but nothing to worry about Shirley!

All this rr stuff is so gay. First people don't want to drive them to keep miles low and then you can't even stretch their legs otherwise they have nil resale value.

Millions, must be worth about a Fiver tongue out

Could the Cargraphic software or the LWFW be causing it (but limiter seems to be in the standard place) ?

I'm afraid I'm not sure what rev range refers to, but could we please not use 'gay' to mean 'bad'? Cheers.

Apologies about the comment above.

Mine only has 10 revs in range one, but in reality you would really have to be hamfisted and totally mechanically unsympathetic to breach this and hit 3,4,5 & 6.

I guess upon reflection it is a high performance engine and not similar to dropping into the wrong cog in a Renault sport clio or similar.

I think most cars if properly opened up are going to hit rr1 at some stage as long as they are not in the first 2k miles!if a car had the odd brief rr1 it would not put me off buying but if it had frequent bouts of rr1 then that is a different story
