Hi there

I will be looking to get a set of winter tires for next season and have been looking at the wheel options - both OEM and aftermarket.

On my 997 GTS (white) I have the black RS Spyder wheels. The RS Spyder wheels in silver are an obvious choice, but not quite 100% sold on how they look with white.

What are the aftermarket options I should look into? I have seen some with OZ Ultraleggeras and various BBS models but am starting to think that black 997.2 GT3 wheels could be a nice fit.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Many thanks

These might help! My white GTS on the OE black wheels with summer tyres and the Porsche option winters in Silver

If I find a set of 997.2 GT3 centre locks at sensible money think they will become my summer option...

Chris, you need some H&Rs on there desperately!

FWIW, i prefer silver in the comparison above.

As both an Eibach and H&R dealer I really have no excuse not to lower to be fair and it does look a bit high side-on! I won't be renewing my warranty when it expires so mods will most definitely start to creep on...

Real split opinion on the wheel choice and I'm still undecided as both look good. Set of 997.2 GT3 wheels would help!

I must say I don't get lowering cars unless track toys. I love the confidence that comes from The standard ride height on my GTS. I hated going in and out of driveways and over road humps in my Turbos due to low front spoiler scrapes and love the practicality of standard GTS suspension and my immaculate front spoiler. I would never lower it for looks, or to gain a few tenths on the way to the pub, only to then have to spend 10 minutes crawling into the car park!

Question....Wouldn't the offset on the GT3 rears make them unsuitable for a GTS?

Thanks - they do look great! I like the contrast vs the black ones. Think these pictures pretty much settle it for me.

I think I prefer the silver wheels. Look bigger imo.
