Lightweight battery (road odd track GT3)
Discussion
has anyone gone with sth like the Braille or the Odyssey for their GT3s?
the OEM battery is a whopper and weighs like 20 Kgs plus.
I have run the dry cell ones on a dedicated track BMW with 3 litre 6 pot but not sure it would work in a road car? I managed to get the E30 320 IS with the 3 litre from the 36 M3 down to 1075 KGs with lots of LWT parts so weight was a killer on the track car.
My GT3 is not a daily so its sits covered in garage and hooked up to the CTEK trickle charger so I can keep the charge. just wondering if you had to drive at night with lights on it might fail?
would certainly take a lot of unsprung high up weight down.
just wondering if anyone has done it or false economy. I could do with losing 10Kgs myself tbh ;-)
