Any 964 & 993 mechanical guru's here?

Wondered if anyone can help. Do you know if a 964 steering rack is the same as the 993 unit?
Any help much appreciated

964.347.012.05 is the part number in my PET for the RHD 964. Part .05 will be a slightly later version than the .04 version advertised. 964.347.012.05 is also the part number for the rack fitted to the RHD 993 RS.

Why pay that sort of money for a used rack (with unknown history of bumps or knocks and/or by definition worn to some degree) when for a similar price yours can be fully reconditioned?

Hi Ade, do you mean DVB= take with a pinch of salt/run away. I've had no dealings Just want to know if I could fit this 964 PAS rack to a 993C2

That looks like it was originally a very well speced 993. What a shame.

I've only seen one other in silver with the areo kit fitted and it was on here a couple of years when its proud new owner was showing his new purchase off. Hoep its not the same car.
