I think RS numbers will stay low. I asked for one, offered my GT3 in part ex, nothing. Only a handful of non 918 owners are getting one. Fact. I was told no point even hoping. So RS numbers will not surprise. Unless they keep producing the car past the facelift which they won't.

What makes you say they won't produce them beyond the facelift? That's this September isn't it? Lots of RS have build slots beyond that.

'How many left' says 308 registered for 2013 and 2014. There's a handful of 2015/64 cars as well to add to that.

34 dealers sold an average of 9 each, sounds perfectly feasible to me.

I amuse myself by thinking back to all the '132' posts and 'no dealer has had more than 5/6 cars' posts.

I think we will be pleasantly surprised how many 991 GT3RS are coming as well.

Not trying to talk anything down, or be negative or whatever you want to call it, I am stating facts.

You should go easy on here stating facts! Someone will be along in a minute to obscure them with a good story. laugh

Finally got round to disconnecting the valves on the exhaust. It was really easy to do. I just squeezed my fat head and arm under the rear of the car (no need to jack up) and the tubes slid out easily with thumb and forefinger. Does make a real difference at low revs, but like someone else on here said, I think the drone/noise could be hard to live with. Not sure if I just have a sore head today or whether it was the short run I just did.
Don
Did you put some form of plug over the valve & plug the pipe you removed.
If so what did you use ? I'm about to go & have a pull...........eek
Fran, I have not plugged yet as I only went on a short run in the dry. I was going to put some duct tape over it.
I would like to know what other have done. The guy in the states that posted the video put a small screw in.
The golf tee idea may also work. Let me know what you think when you have done it.

Don
Barr a sore knuckle from unnecessary over exertion, it was an easy exercise; that can also be easily reversed, which is nice.
However, when I first drove the car with out plugging anything the sound in the lower Rev range was just what I was looking for.
Now...... I'm a retiree from a life long spell in the motor trade; from school to retirement. I like to think I have a fairly broad knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics !
But ! Since I plugged the vacuum pipe & sealed the valve pipe, the noise increase ( drone) seemed to have really increased beyond a level which I'd enjoy. I know it's not possible as the valve is just a mechanical unit that doesn't directly feed in to the exhaust airflow & plugging the vacuum pipe itself , cannot have any direct input to the exhaust sound output !!
Tomorrow I'll pull my golf tee's out & take the caps of the exhaust valve actuators to satisfy my myself that I'm not loosing it.

Fran, that does sound odd. I still have not bothered to plug mine yet so can't comment on that. However I do think the drone sound on mine is not consistant. I think it gets louder when the car is fully warmed up. Perhaps we are both loosing it.smile

Are these iPhone / iPad pics you are trying to upload directly?

I had the same problem - depends how you held the iPhone / iPad at the time. I ended up uploading the files to my Mac - resaving with the correct orientation and then uploading to PH from there.

Don't whatever you do upload a picture of a GT3 upside down as you can guarantee at least 5 comments about sticky tyres etc....
biggrin

Car under the knife today. Just a few highlights on the spoiler & wing mirrors. Colour very close to the wheels.
Not to everyone's taste no doubt, however I'd swear the cars faster & sounds even better now.........
