Rob,
Just get yourself a breaker bar and 800 ft/lb torque wrench and deal with the wheels yourself. I use a local specialist tyre fitter in Central Scotland as he is excellent at looking after your rims etc. He does not have the correct tooling for the job so I just do it myself. That way I know they are correctly re-installed with the locks correctly in position.
BTW my superglue repair got me all the way home from the north of Scotland and for a further 3 days till my new tyre was installed.
Was nice you meet both you and Molly on the run.

Thank you sir, as does yours!
Going to take mine out for a blast in the morning I think!
Just got back after a great run today - I love my car , I have an RS on the way and I'm obviously really excited about that but in a funny way, part of me prefers the GT3 - it looks better IMHO , it's super usable - as easy as any 911 I've ever had and at a flick of the wrist and a press of the foot it becomes the most mental machine I've ever driven - they are a piece of engineering genius !! ( Honestly all this talk about values is just so dull - lets get back to talking about the cars - please !!!) I can drive it to work and just about "get away with it" in terms of it not sticking out too much - the RS on the other hand will be a weekend treat as I just can't turn up to work in it - especially as I'm going Lava Orange ! When I sell the GT3 I want it to go to a good home - someone to take care of it as its a very special thing - it would also be great if someone manages to buy well by cutting out the dealer margin Going to take mine out for a blast in the morning I think!

I get what you mean about the RS. Mine will be paint to sample. But it will have to be a very special car indeed!
Are you sure PTS is available - seems to be a lot of debate about it ? My OPC says probably - most people are saying not ? Do you have a build date - I'm Nov , cheers R if PTS is available I think I might go Racing Yellow with black wheels .Edited by RSVP911 on Saturday 16th May 20:28

Just cleaned mine again; whilst doing so tried Citrus bicycle cleaner on the wheels. It is really good. Now have 4,500 miles onboard it is simply the best car I have ever driven. Plus how people can say that it is too compromised to be a DD baffles me. We did over 2000 miles on our Scotland trip in superb comfort. Amanda would say some took place in abject fear though the car is so unbelievably capable I just find those to be giggle moments. Thanks once again Shocks for a cracking trip.
How are people doing on tyre wear I am now on 3mm on the front and 4mm on the back? Just started to notice a very slight tram line effect creeping in . My local tyre supplier is not to keen on coping with the centre locks.
Most welcome Rob ! Hope you and Amanda are well ! Take of The Clarkson How are people doing on tyre wear I am now on 3mm on the front and 4mm on the back? Just started to notice a very slight tram line effect creeping in . My local tyre supplier is not to keen on coping with the centre locks.
Tyres I need to check soon hoon + track is certainly eating them up - going to stick with Dunlops - really awesome tyres

Nice work guys, I hope to be joining the 991 GT3 owners club soon....
Congratulations! What's the spec?!terryb said:
It's not confirmed as yet, but after a whole load of soul searching, I actually changed my initial desire for clubsport/ trackday spec and went for comfort spec in white. Given the market I looked at quite a few, particularly to see different colours. However I also spoke to RSVP911 on here and discussed his car as he has an RS coming - his is a fantastic spec (buckets and PCCB) and actually very well priced, so it was a hard choice not to go for his - drop me a PM if anyone wants to know more about that one. I'll lay the blame with my wife though...
If it's not too late, go for the buckets and PCCB!MollyGT3 said:
He's very proud of his Clarkson - it has pride of place here! Still not 100% sure what he got it for but I think we can guess (the word 'inappropriate' comes to mind?)
The Clarkson Award Category : "...for moments of high drama, choice language and all round entertainment factor..." - I think it was clearly the confessions involving certain moving discussions regarding the appropriate ways to make swift progress ;-)Hi chaps took delivery of my 991 GT3 PCCB AND CLUBSPORT on 25th of April so far 800 miles of sheer joy Silverstone done and Anglesey booked next woop woop - best car ever - looked at quite a few before settling for this one - and was not disappointed one tiny bit -

Guess what - Sharkwerks are looking into developing a bypass pipe for the RS so watch this space!
I hope you are well and i'm quite sure you will have no problem at all in finding a new home for your stunning top-spec GT3.
Chris
Anybody with any good plan for the bank holidays? Left it last minute and am not sure I will end up doing anything exciting. The better half vetoed a long weekend up in the highlands.. I had even found a transport to take her up..
Other possibility would be Wales but could get a bit busy? Although I think I saw an anglesea track day with pcgb scheduled for the Saturday.. Combine the 2 ?
Am suffering from withdrawal from lack of good driving roads.. It's painful.

No no no, it always rains in Scotland, food is terrible, people horrible.....! Keep Away!
, the all more tarmac for me.
BTW the tightening of the from lift system pipe work is a "update" which all 991 GT3s will get when in for a service etc. I just had my oil changed at 1200 miles last week and OPC did mine.
Beautiful, is yours Mexico or Riviera? , the all more tarmac for me.
