Hi guys and gals,

I just thought I would say hello. I have just bought a 2005 997 Carerra S.

It is an approved used Porsche from Porsche Portsmouth with a two year warranty.

Off on holidays soon so getting it ready for collection on my birthday on the 28th. Can't wait!!

It's a bit too old to be a Porsche Approved car if it's 2005. It'll be some other warranty, rather than the Porsche one.

Enjoy the car and stick up some pics, it's traditional.

Sorry yes it comes under their Signature approved scheme so still has the full dealer warranty benefits.

Will get some pics up ASAP - need to work out how to resize as they are apparently too large

Nice car - I ummed and ahhed over that one (it was a good price) but the lack of a 2-year warranty was the decider for me. I'm sure it's a good car though - hope you have lots of fun in it.

I think these will be collectable one day - one of the prettiest Porsches ever

Thanks very much. Managed to get a two year warranty out of them so very happy indeed.

I kinow I shouldn't ask but Was it a Porsche or dealership warranty?

That's fine, it's Inschape through Porsche Signature. Gives basically the same cover with everything except the usual wear and tear covered, with claim limit to the entire purchase price of the car.

Good to know - I'll remember that next time one comes up. Cheers.

It's an Inchcape Signature warranty, not Porsche Signature. The Germans wouldn't let them call it that if try tried.

I think most 911s benefit from PSE and I'd fit it. Lets you hear more of the flat 6 sound.

Congrats mate I have just bought provisionally pretty much the same car.. JZM doing their pre purchase inspection and boroscope first.
It's got sports chrono plus and sports seats etc but no PSE that I had on 2 of my previous 911's and for me it's a must that and short shift so providing all goes well it's straight off for those to be put on.
I have heard a couple of the gundo hacks that have been done and just to me they don't sound quite as good as the original Porsche PSE.
