No i don't think so, he is a good driver, new car, wet road, big power, big tree....
It happens, we've all done it at some time. In the wet on boost they are very sensitive to variations in road surface, camber, road kill etc... Ok if you're on a track, not so if your on a public road not "fully" tuned in. That's what makes them special, it's almost impossible to crash a GTR so the reward just isn't there...Oh no, that's a real shame about Crimps old car as it always looked in good shape.
Market is so funny at times, I had mine on here last year for sale due to a overseas move, had some enquiries but nothing too serious and I decided to keep it, good job as the move fell through at the last minute.
Lots of comments on the price I had it on at, seems it was a bargain! :-) I totally understand the comments about the rise in value having an impact on the enjoyment of these limited run cars, it certainly plays on your mind when out using the car knowing it would be very difficult to replace like for like. Having said that there is always a big smile on your face when you have had a good run out in the car.

Looks like there is one for sale - travelled 30 miles

DK Engineering are asking £110,000 for that carhttp://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Pretty nuts considering that they no doubt paid less than the asking price when they bought it from the chap in New Zealand. He had it listed for £47,500 ($95,000 NZD) back in late January on NZs Ebay equivalent.
Perhaps I wouldn't be so bitter if I had of bought it!
Fair play to DK I guess
There was a nice 996 X50 Turbo with aero kit, low miles for £37,500 for sale on the same site. The advertisement only lasted three days over the past weekend, I wonder if that car will turn up here too...
Also a 2005 996 GT3 with just under 30,000 miles for $90,000NZD (£45,000) on at the moment.

Is the RPM car known to members on here? If SM has been offered 90k for his car then there should be some "story" about this car or prices offered are not what they seem? Are these meant to be on two year servicing? If two year interval and not 1 then it's only missing one to date really.

At last he shows some sign of true taste... I just hope he doesn't ruin it.Its been great reading the forums over the last hour or so, I was thinking of selling mine as the value means I probably wont be driving her as nature intended (Le Mans and Scotland Trips) due to only having 16K miles. On one hand, happy with the values, on the other sad as she will probably be wrapped in cotton wool, its a strange feeling............. need a double garage!
