Pretty sure the S1 never had that badging. It was sold as the Vixen 1600

As above, I don't think the S1 wore a badge because they hadn't planned on an S2. The club used to do an S4 badge so I assume they had these fitted, but maybe not with so few built.

Strangely the S1 in the brochure doesn't seem to have any badging on the back at all.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for that, I could do with someone with the S2/3 badge on too, so that I can work that position out, from the images on the net, I need to mount my plate and then do a bit of guess work, and drop it under the Vixen badge, BUT, as I am going to drill holes to mount them I need maybe need a little help.
Adrian@

I am looking for a image of a Vixen S4 badge...now that I am looking for my position of the S3 badge, I can see an S4 badge out there.

This was my S2. I don't know if it is in its Original position though.

Originally they did not have any markings.

Previous owner put these on - look OK to me! smile

I assume that you've seen this image from the Vixen S2 brochure, but just in case you haven't ....

Doesn't stand much magnification, I'm afraid.

Twin tanks Adrian?? Did it leave the factory like that mate wink
I assume one is drinking water and the other waste !! biggrin

with badges Its best to actually set them not level so they look level rather than set them level so they aren't
Or just fit one side then they always look even, though Odd. smile

The S4 (OBH62L) is the car Ian Bannister restored, still sporting my 'borrowed' 1600M cut down exhaust!!!!

Adrian,

Here's a rather scruffy sketch I did a while back. It has all the measurements in mm. I did this partly thinking that I might have to get replacement badges made up if I ever got the car resprayed. Are you planning do get the S4 badge done and do you already stock the 'Vixen' and 'TVR' badges?

Blimey Adrian. I would think finding an S4 owner with an original S4 badge must be harder to find than an honest FIFA official!

Adrian

It is likely that Ian took pictures of the car (OBH62L) before restoration, one of these may show badges, I would contact him.

Obvious Disclaimer - there would be no proof that when Ian bought the car that the badges (if present) were in the correct position

Hi Adrian

I dug out the photo album of the restoration of obh 62l (finished May 1993). The badges appear to have been in the same position as they are now pre-restoration. Although the S4 badge is missing in the photos there is a clear impression on the paintwork of a missing badge. The S4 badge might have been removed at this stage of the restoration for later re-use or for that matter it might have been replaced with a new badge.

Among the collection of photos in the album are some pictures of another Vixen S4 registration PWW 6K (black or dark green). The S4 badge is centered directly under the Vixen badge and butted up against it. This car is in a fairly poor state so the badge placement may be original. Perhaps there was no set position for the S4 badges. I guess Ian Bannister might be able to help more....

Sorry not seen this post, the size are the same as Fishermt, I think they are old stock and the dark one is identical (original ??)

Hello Adrian,
I need them to install on my vixen when finished, one s4 badge is available for free if you want it but is old and not perfect... some défaults on the pic can be seen and I think they must be glued because the self adhésive face is old also!!
Let me know if interested and I can send it.

Just seen this post
Have attached a pic of some original new badges, S4 taller as you can see !
Pic Marc refers to in album of PWW 6K, was of a tatty but original Vixen for sale locally.
It was alot more than the £950 I paid for OBH, advertised in Sprint
Cheers Ian
