Okay all good - even if it has warranty still have it checked out by an OPC. Costs peanuts to do.
Prob a good idea. What's the form - do I get the dealer to drop the car at their nearest OPC or do they go out to the dealer?
Yes put a refundable deposit down on a car you like after seeing it yourself/driving first and if you're happy let dealer know you will purchase car subject to it passing an OPC 111 point inspection. Let them choose nearest OPC to take car to and let them know any faults highlighted will need to be rectified. You can choose to extend warranty yourself after 111 inspection as this stage for up to a further 2 years which I would take advantage of in your shoes.

If you do not know much about cars try and go with a chum who does know a bit about cars. Main thing is to find an original panel car with good engine and gearbox. Ask the dealer if its had any accidents.

Do you not have to own the car for 90 days before you can put the OPC warranty on it?

OK, so think I've found the car! It goes in for the 111 point check at the local OPC next Tuesday so fingers crossed I'll be driving a 997 TT PDK cab late next week biggrindriving
