15 just not gel with me, a lot had 8+ and few had less

circa 280 cars imo + extra dribbles and extra VIP cars which seem to happen these days.

Regardless closer to 300 than the 132, the premise for price ramping.

well with new cars still arriving and I know of at least 3 new cars at OPC's ( HOW this can happen 2 years on is crazy !)

there was never a shortage, I got offered a GT3 3 or 4 times, but I remember buying my 1st Cayman and the 6th months wait when I asked in NOV
then a phone call saying we can get you a car by Dec sir !

So we have unsold GT3's on shop floors 2 years down the line ! and still people saying they are getting their car soon !

seems there will be 50 or 60 extra GT4's and no doubt loads of 991 RS's

gets them all pre sold though 2000 GT4's all with £5k deposits (and 981 Spyders) gets a few extra £ in to order the buckets you would think !!!

RS and GT3 deposits were £10k, that's £40,000,000 money up front for the 4 cars, nice business model.

The how many left website is showing 320 registered uk cars. I'm guessing one or two of these would be lhd imports now registered in the uk.

No doubt Mr Apolo will be along shortly to tell us that you should not rely on that website, and instead trust him to provide you impartial information.

Am I correct in thinking porsche have always imported more than 100 plus units of the gt rs cars (excluding the 4.0)

From memory wasn't the 996 a slow seller and this even had more than 100 uk cars?

Now that the Porsche gt range has become popular won't Porsche just import more cars to maximise profit.

They imported more 991 gt3 cars than first thought won't they just do the same for the. 991 gt3 rs???

why quote me ? I agree :-)

15x37 is 555 cars though, hence I said it's circa 280 odd + all the extra's

Over 300 is FACT. You can call the product guys at Reading to confirm. They confirmed with me.

320 is the number on How many Left - numbers are sourced from DVLA.

The 132 WAS always complete rubbish. When it was being spouted at the time of the stop sale, nearly 100 had already been registered.

There were other cars waiting to be registered at dealers, in transit and they were only 6 months into building them.

There was also the myth at the time about there being only 6 maximum per dealer, which was completely wrong.

Then the one saying 991RS wouldn't be delayed, then the one about where the GT3 engines would be replaced, then the one about the 991RS would be less than a hundred units.... and so on.

The people espousing the crap about 132 cars were adamant about the numbers at the time. They've gone very quiet now.

nope Silverstone have a new one and so do Solihul, silverstones was £185k though !! and listed with miles, but goto the showroom and listed as del miles !

both OPC state "mmm there is a story behind these cars"

IE I guess they are not allowed to be seen selling new cars at these prices.

Just by chance I have been to these 2 OPC in the last 2 weeks while passing, So 2 out of 2 have had new cars sitting there, must be loads as I doubt out of 35 OPC my 2 chance visits had 2 new cars !

Yes but the point is these cars are not being sold at anywhere near list - in fact they are miles above and as such I am not sure what point you are trying to make - IMHO , this car is way better in any spec level than a Turbo S that would spec properly at > £K 145 and will depreciate far more than GT3's , even in today's GT3 market - so it still comes down to what else can you buy for £K 140/£K 160 that competes - nothing ! ( cheapest 458's are loads older and more - also nowhere near as good - again IMHO ) smile

Rsvp911 these cars are not selling for 145 to 165k?

Porsche knows what it's doing, the cars were prices correctly in the first place. If these cars had a list of 145 to 165 k they would not of sold anywhere close to the numbers on the road today.

scratchchin

The Agate grey JZM car very recently sold relatively quickly presumably near to the £149k asking price.
