your words not mine, never said a plant, so why the yawn ? ! said there was a new car at Silverstone up for £185k in black, you flipped it. that in my book is a FACT.
David, we have conversed via email outside the forum in the past and you came across as a proper enthusiast and really rather pleasant, I have also heard from people who have met you in person who say that you are a nice amiable non aggressive chap, why oh why do you always come across as so antagonistic on these forums. I know we can all be guilty of it on occasion, that seems to be the nature of the internet but you seem to do it constantly and are always trying to win a point over someone.

Just relax a bit and be more like your true self.

I stated a fact when people asked where the 2 new cars were,

then people put words in my mouth like "plant" etc why do that ?

I was just helping out where the new cars were for sale, all fact ;-)

The thread IS ABOUT 991 GT3 for sale !!!

My GF does also hate my "fact" when she askes a question lol but better to tell the truth and state facts I find, some people don't like it I guess.
People see it as a BIG issue on PH that my posting style is very black or white, I just like to get to the bottom of things as fast as possable.
I guess it's the area of work I am in and how my brain works for fault finding. Hence I liked maths at school not English.
I guess people take me the wrong way on here :-( and don't see me for who I am.

Holy mother of God, ive only just looked at your garage, that's some collection of fantastic cars you have there, which goes a long way to making complete sense of what you said with regards to your reason to sell, even more so if you are getting a 991RS allocation.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me and enjoy those cars that you havedriving

On a side note, whats your favorite out of them?
Thanks Pete. I think F40 for pure sense of occasion and the most go-kart like steering feel and responsiveness I've ever encountered. Its the car I marvelled at as a kid and gasped on the odd occasion I saw one, so to find out it drives every bit as good as you dreamt of was memorable. Of the more modern (which if I'm honest are more accessible for mortals lke me to drive) its hard to beat CGT and 4.0RS. For some reason I always preferred CGT to Enzo to drive - both obviously capable of insane speeds but I prefer the way you get there in the Porsche. I know CGT can be tricky, less so with the latest tyres to be fair, but I love how those cars sound, feel, rsspond, and flatter you as a driver...

Rsvp911 these cars are not selling for 145 to 165k?

Porsche knows what it's doing, the cars were prices correctly in the first place. If these cars had a list of 145 to 165 k they would not of sold anywhere close to the numbers on the road today.
I beg to differ , they are ! I competed on mine today , took less than 3 weeks - I had already taken a deposit on the car when you posted this hypothetical nonsense - I am however , a cautious man and didn't want to let you know until the deal was done - but now it is.

I hope that you all enjoy your GT4's , I think they are going to be an amazing car , I'd love one , however something tells me , in truth , deep down one or two of you ( naming no names whistle ) will be looking at it wishing , more than anything in the world , that it was a GT3 and that's understandable , as the GT3 is a machine - I sincerely hope that the gentleman who's got my car loves it as much as I did .

I know I will receive a torrent of abuse for this post and I have to say I post it with a certain amount of regret ; ever since I've been on PH I've prided myself on trying to be polite to everyone ; its a great place for like minded people to share information , thoughts , dreams and stories about their passion. Drive safely wink

Thank you - I'm missing it already frown

I'm not sure - I certainly didn't offer it up for £K120 , maybe it got confusing at it cost £K 120 ? The price range of the sale was in the bracket that you categorically said people were not selling them at . I am afraid that you are wrong on this as are certain other people are on this thread , where I'm afraid a lot of nonsense is being made up and posted - it's a shame. I know of at least 3 GT3 'a that have sold in the last 3 weeks . I do agree that some of the pricing is excessive but based on my experience , if they are speced well & priced sensibly , they will sell quickly .

I do not have a vested interest as mines sold so I say this impartially - they honestly are absolutely amazing , way way better than a Turbo S , currently for Turbo S money - in truth over a lifetime of ownership , much less in fact , as the depreciation over time will be much better (history has proven this time and time again on GT cars) as such I still think their value proposition is good - as for £k 135 / £K 160 , what else compares - nothing . Only an RS , but that ship has sailed . So my advice is , if you love cars and in the market for something very special & can afford one - then why not.

To answer your question , yes , I have been really fortunate & I have an RS coming - the only reason I sold the 3 as otherwise it was going nowhere - It was a 1 owner car , I used it when ever I could , I sold it with 6000 miles on the clock . There are roughly 38 RHD cars for sale - roughly 15 % of the total delivered (not 100% sure on this ) I bet a lot of the people selling have RS's coming , hence the sale - ergo all GT3 owners are not speculators - a lot of them , like me are everyday enthusiasts , nothing more .

IMO the RS has over shadowed the standard GT3 so much that's what's hit prices.

HI spec cars are £139k now, with buckets, full leather etc, every OPC has 1 or 2 cars, they are easy to find and buy, just no ones buying atm.
Yes the odd one sells but I have seen the same cars up for sale months just drooping every month.

Bargin cars imo are the Macca's at £115k and also in another performance bracket for lol speed 8.5 seconds to 124mph.

I like the 991 GT3 but not enough to pay over £129k for one.

It's such a waste of time posting on this thread ; whatever anyone posts you completely disregard , you are unbelievable ! That's me done .

Sincerely hope you never get to own one !

So you keep telling us at every opportunity....sleep

Although having said that I wouldn't put it past you to buy one, simply to subsequently reject it as "it's nowhere near as good as my Cayman R..."
